I used to love Deerings butcher shop in Killiney Shopping Centre.
There was the cutting and slicing of meat, the staff were great and helpful. There was the queuing for your Turkey and Ham at Christmas time watching all the worried faces of the other shoppers thinking ‘have I remembered everything?’.
This is all changed meat is laid out in counters and some choices of meat dishes. Then there is a nice lady on the till.
It is clean and bright and a nice choice of sauces, jams, marmalades, marinades etc.
It is a butcher shop but not as you remember it. It is more like a part of a supermarket.
I would still go back.
