Specialties

Eva Dorney Goldsmith designs and hand makes contemporary fine jewellery from her home-workshop in Windy Arbour, Dublin 14. Using precious metals, diamonds and gemstones, she specialises in custom made engagement rings and matching handmade wedding bands in gold, platinum and palladium.

Eva also designs a range of modern gold and silver jewellery featuring amethyst, diamond, moonstone, peridot, ruby and pearl. This contemporary collection includes handmade rings, bangles, cufflinks, pendants and earrings and can be customized to include any combination of metals, gemstones and pearls. It is available by appointment from her showroom and online at evadorney.com. Prices from € 50

Additionally Eva offers a remodelling service if you want to rework an existing piece and a remelting service, where she will recycle your old gold and make you something new from your own metal, sentiment intact.

Follow the story of how Eva designs, makes and remodels jewellery (via a collection of photographs of works in progress and of finished pieces) on her blog — How it’s made — or call now to make an appointment.

Meet the Business Owner

Eva D.

Business Owner

Having trained in goldsmithing with the Craft Council of Ireland in Kilkenny, I worked in the industry for over four years before setting up my own business in 2011.

Though I can turn my hand to most styles my own design is informed by strong, contemporary forms and my jewellery shares these clean, architectural lines. Since receiving my first silver ring as a child I’ve wanted to make jewellery. Whether made from found objects or latterly from precious metals and fine gemstones the allure proved irresistible and following a degree in European Studies, a short jewellery course in NCAD lead me to reimagine my future.

There are few things more satisfying than taking a piece from design concept to completion — seeing it develop from what may seem uninspiring (just take a look at my blog) to something truly covetable with a little heat and persuasion. My goal is to make high quality jewellery using traditional hand skills and for each piece to be worn and have a life beyond my workshop.
