Goyas Fine Confectionary

I really like this as a spot to get some lunch or late breakfast. The interior is a little clinical, if i had one complaint, but if it’s not too busy the seating is quite nice.
The 2-​person couches by the wall are a struggle to get into, so pick another place.
I had the pancakes with bacon & maple before, they were nice but I wouldn’t get them again– a bit too heavy for me. Another occasion though I got a BLT without the T and it was absolutely gorgeous, on garlic bread and everything. YUM!
Service is always fantastic in here, there’s a really nice bunch of girls and they keep your water topped up and all that.

Goyas is a little bit off the beaten path, and therefore a little more quiet and peaceful. I enjoyed a delicious cottage pie for lunch, no waiting, no crowds. Perfect.

This used to be one of my places to go. But now, I don’t think ill be back. Its gone down hill over the years. Where’d it go wrong?

I had a nice little lunch here, and the outside seating in the protection of a little open area of Kirwans Lane made for a lovely spring afternoon of sitting in the sunshine and enjoying my goat cheese tarte with salad.
The interior was a little sparse, especially for a place named after an artist, and while I was lulled in by their sign that said «Grab your lunch to take away» the staff seemed a little flustered when I said I was planning to take something away to sit by the Spanish Arch and eat. Which is why I ended up just taking an outside table and eating there.
It turned out well, and the tart was quite tasty, so I can see heading there again.
Bottom Line: It was really nice to get some sun!
