I absolutely love this place! After asking if I could get a pizza with vegetables and without cheese, the staff kindly suggested they would simply make me a vegan pizza. I was so overwhelmed by how accommodating they were, and the actual taste of the pizza was phenomenal, incredibly fresh tasting and cooked very well. The atmosphere is great and the staff were all very hospitable.

Great place for the kids to eat. Usually busy so be prepared to queue for food and seating. Once you have ordered generally they are quick with the food. I dislike the seating arrangements downstairs. Im a big man and found it very uncomfortable both times i was there. The pizzas are very good and there is a lot of ingredients to choose from.

Very accommodating for our large group of 9. Fantastic service. The best pizza in Ireland(in my albeit limited experience). Tried both the Hail Caesar and the Hey Pesto w/lemon chicken – would recommend both! A little dear if you’re looking for a cheap bite, but well worth it if you’re looking for a gourmet, Italian-style pie. 10⁄10 would come back.

Dough Bros was so amazing we ate here two nights in a row! A small, locally owned shop with seats downstairs and another room with more seating upstairs. All pizza’s are about 11 inches in diameter and I felt pretty good after sharing one. We got the Hey Pesto pizza(house basil pesto base, killeen goats cheese, semi sundried tomato, balsamic red onion, fresh rocket parmasan for 10 Euros) and added the spicy crumbled sausage(for 1 Euro) and it was INCREDIBLE. The spicy crumbled sausage is like soft, crumbly, spicy soppressata — they should have sent a poet because I cannot even describe how much I loved this stuff! The second night we got the Buffalo Soldier(Italian Buffalo Mozzarella, fresh basil, portabello mushroom, balsamic red onion for 9 Euro) and I convinced my dining partner to let me get the spicy sausage again… and it was dynamite again! They also have a nice selection of local beers and bottles filled with garlic or chili pepper infused olive oil on every table. I liked drizzling the oil on my crusts… there wasn’t a spec of food left either time. It is super close to all the bars so you can start here, get a good base, and then walk to the bars around 9:30 pm to see the live music acts. Go here — you won’t regret it!

Was visiting Galway from Dallas, Texas and this pizza place was recommended to us. Food was incredible and I highly recommend the garlic bread. The location was perfect and easy to find. If ever in Galway you must try the pizza, you will be delighted. Who would think you could get great pizza in Ireland but this place is better than so e of the pizza I have eaten in Italy. A must eat!

I can’t believe how long it took me to get to Dough Bros! And within that first weekend, I went twice– so that’ll tell ya. The first time was for lunch, we sat upstairs and it was a 20 minute wait for food. The second time was 8pm on a Saturday night and it was a good 50 minutes I was in there to get my two pizzas to take away. Still, you have to appreciate that all the staff are really hustling to get the service done, and there seems to be no escaping the massive queue on a weekend evening. All the staff are really helpful, and notably young and cool. The pizza itself of course, is practically perfect. Thin but substantial base, perfect amount of toppings and a nice layer of sauce without too much cheese, if that’s not what you’re into. Both visits I had the Pepperoni one from the classics menu, because it was just that good. We also tried a portion of garlic bread which I’ll admit was a bit too salty for my tastes but NOMATTER. PIZZA. I also appreciate the nice selection of beers and drinks in this place. They keep things super simple, and through that manage to make a top quality product every time. Just pay one visit, and you’ll understand the cult status surrounding these boyos.

I didn’t anticipate finding decent pizza in Ireland, especially coming from Brooklyn NY where pizza dreams are made. Ordered the classic margherita and the classic neopolitan with smoked pancetta– both were good, crust was good, rather flavorful. I wouldn’t say that the classic neopolitan struck me as very neopolitan at all considering I have never had a one where the melted cheese doesn’t pool in the center etc. I wouldn’t call this the best pizza I have ever had, but it definitely is pretty good.

A short walk across Kennedy Park from the Coach Station, Dough Brothers was a great stop for a welcome to Galway dinner. They accommodated our party downstairs(a walk in group of nine) as one could not take stairs. It gave us a chance to not just watch but check in with our pizza chefs as they busily prepared orders in a clearly popular restaurant. John, our server, took our multiple orders with charm and humor. And when the orders came? Only the sounds of satisfied customers were heard. Some of the best pizza I have had anywhere. They checked in with us regularly, took a photo for us, and in general made us very happy to be at this place.

Amazing pizza. And in Galway?! Really cool concept and great young staff having a great time and offering great service. Very impressed and will be back. Oh, and the music was fantastic — late 90s hip hop.

We spent 3 weeks in italy in 4 different cities, and this pizza is far more superior than any pizza we had in Italy! I would have given this place 5 stars but the bench seating was very uncomfortable, and a salad on the menu would be nice. The pizza is the best, people line up out the door for this pizza, you must give it a try! Also the house wine is nice and nicely priced too.

We stopped by this place on the recommendation from Russell and Emer at The Stop B&B. They said it was their favorite pizza place in Ireland and even had it on their personal hand drawn map. When we arrived we were a little unprepared as it was different then the typical NY pizza we were used to in the States. We found it a little on the thin side for finger eating but it was very delicious. We ended up splitting one which we found to be enough for two females. Thanks Bros!

Amazing pizza and very friendly staff, this is the closest you will get to an authentic Neapolitan pizza and I have been addicted to these since trying my first one… The tandoori chicken one is delicious but they are all fab!!! Go there now!

We’d heard stories of the pizza from these lads, so myself, the wife, and our buddy Fergus made a point of seeking their new popup out while we were in Galway for a short visit, and were glad we did. From food truck to high street — and when you take a bite, you can see why. The restaurant they occupied in town was initially a temporary lease, which has been extended. The lads were working on making it a long term commitment, and fingers crossed that works out. Anyways, back to the pizza. The three of us, being starving horses, ordered four pies between us. A chicken tikka, ham and pineapple, chicken caesar, and a spicy chorizo. A few cans of Club Orange were secured, and we sat down and waited. About 10 minutes later(with regular updates on the status from the lads) our pies were served. Er. Ma. GHERD. Right, start with the crust. The crust is perfect. Not good, not decent, not great — it’s perfect. Crispy, the right amount of chewiness, nice and thin but sturdy enough to not dissolve. Perfect. Moving up from there… the perfection just continued. Spreadable sausage” was tremendous. The caesar — drizzled with just the right amount of caesar dressing over fresh rocket — was stunning. The chicken tikka wasn’t eaten, it was more inhaled. The only one that survived intact was the chicken and pineapple. Not because it wasn’t delicious, but because the other three were so good, we hit capacity and couldn’t finish it. You’d better believe that it was boxed up and taken on the road with us, and didn’t survive the drive down to Cork. I love traveling. And I’m lucky enough to live in one of the best places to eat out in the world, with more top class restaurants than you can shake a stick at. But as I told the lads as we were leaving — if you picked up the Dough Bros and plopped it down in New York or here in San Francisco, people would still say that it’s some of the best pizza around. If you’re in and around Galway, either living or working, Dough Bros is a complete and utter MUST.
