Connaghan’s Owenea Trading is a family run Builders Providers /​DIY /​Hardware premises located at Mill Road, Glenties less than 1 km from Glenties town (on the N56 road to Donegal Town /​Ardara).

Our staff are friendly and knowledgeable and will help with all queries. We stock a very wide range of items at very competitive prices and our customers often comment on our range of unusual or hard to source items that they have «searched the country for». If we don’t stock it we will try our best to locate it for you.

We have a dedicated paint counter and a colour expert on hand to mix any colour desired. We also provide free delivery to surrounding areas and we run a weekly coal delivery service to the Glenties, Ardara, Killybegs, Kilcar, Dunkineely, Glencolmcille, Carrick, Fintown, Doochary and Narin /​Portnoo areas.

Connaghan’s Owenea Trading is an independent retailer with a slightly old-​world feel. Because the business also includes building /​civil contractors, staff can advise on the new building regulations. We also provide haulage services.

History

Established in 1960.

Connaghan’s Owenea Trading is a family run business for more than 50 years, spanning over three generations of the Connaghan family. The building construction element of the business began in the 1930s with the builder’s providers established in the 1960s.

Owenea Trading Ltd was established when the DIY /​Hardware shop opened in 2002. The shop and builders providers are located on Mill Road, less than 1 km from Glenties town (on the N56 road to Donegal Town /​Ardara).
