History

Established in 2006.

The Canvas Works started life in 2006 when we were based in George’s Street Dun Laoghaire. We relocated our main production and gallery to Kinsale in 2007 and added our vintage travel poster range in 2010. Over the years, we’ve been featured widely in the media for our innovative canvas prints and built up a great reputation for quality, service and reliability.

Business Owner

Hi, I’m Patrick and together with my wife Lynne, we own and run The Canvas Works. After leaving college in 1995, I spent 10 years working in ad agencies in London, Belfast and Dublin before setting up The Canvas Works in 2006. W’re a small business so I’m very hands on — literally, I will probably be the one who makes your print, although these days I’m getting more help.

Our retail gallery is based in Kinsale — we don’t currently have a walk-​in shop based in Dublin. So if you’re up there, you’ll need to order online. We do free delivery nationwide though — so it’s quick and easy.
