Unlike your teeth your eyes do not usually hurt when there is something wrong, regular eye examinations will prevent any problems from progressing. (Once every 2 years is the norm unless otherwise advised)

Good eye sight in young children is vital for learning.

Poor eyesight is dangerous make sure you meet the current legal requirements for driving.

Failing eyesight is often expected as people get older, however by having an eye examination and remedying the problems eyesight can be improved and their quality of life greatly improved.

The eye examination can detect early signs of Glaucoma (a potentially blinding eye condition)

The earlier the problem is detected the greater the chance of successful treatment.

Stack O’Brien Opticians have been in Killarney for 19 years (Est 1994) and in Millstreet Co Cork at Reens Pharmacy.

We are an Irish owned optical practice, giving quality eye care with the most up to date optical equipment. Optometrists and Dispensing opticians are always on hand for your optical needs. Business Owner

Padraig, is the dispensing optician and practice Owner/​Director. He was instrumental in forming the company in 1994 and has been involved ever since. As you can imagine he has a great knowledge of the optical business which he uses to great effect in the practice. He has followed and participated in the optical business with enthusiasm and interest. His expertise lies in assesing the correct optical lenses for patients interpretating their prescription and subsequent frame choice
