So was home for an extended stay over the Christmas and had heard from family previous that this was new since we had left the country and was a good place for lunch. Myself, two of my sister in laws and my nephew decided to call in for something quick to eat. We had three bowls of soup and a plate of chips. As I was being handed the soup I asked where do we pay and was shown where the tills were. The lady then said that we could pay when we were finished which was perfect. We sat down and I decided to get myself a coffee so went up and ordered one. The lady that served me went to ring it up, I showed her where I was sitting and asked was it OK to pay for it when I was paying for the rest? She kind of hesitated for a second and then said sure but don’t forget to pay. I just laughed and was like yeah of course, I thought it was kind of a weird thing to say, but hey whatever! So went and enjoyed our lunch and have to say the soup and bread was delicious! My sister in law went up to pay for our whole table. As we were walking out of the restaurant I made eye contact with the girl who had served me the coffee and said«thank you very much, bye». She looks at me and says out really loudly, hey have you paid and straight away shouts over to her work colleague has she paid? I was sooo taken aback. How un-bloody-professional! I just kinda nervously laughed cus the few people that were in the café were all looking at me and said that yes we had paid before I quickly made my way out of the restaurant feeling so bloody mortified and annoyed! Seriously!!! A bit of customer service training could go a long way!

I have had nothing but good meals fore 2 weeks in Ireland; however, My dinner at Miller & Cook was the best meal I’ve had. Sweet potato salad was a small wonder. The sea bass was superb. A very, very good meal.

I really like this place. Good food, good service, good atmosphere. Upbeat place to meet with family and friends, grab lunch, or just get some work done. Free wifi!

Pleasant modern surrounding with excellent choices in the deli. Trays could be a little cleaner. I remember i had to go through 6 before i got to a clean one. Staff seem nice but there always seems to be a delay in getting coffee at the front area.
