At Extreme Pizza we specialize in gourmet pizza, but we also sell great sambos and salads.

Customers can choose to enjoy their pizza in several ways, either they can swing by the restaurant for a custom slice that is freshly baked in just 3 minutes, order a home delivery or ‘take-​and-​bake-​it’, the option that allows you to pick up a raw Extreme Pizza of your choice and bake it at home whenever you are ready for your fresh, hot pizza

Everything that comes into our kitchen is of the highest quality, for example our pineapple doesn’t come in by the tin, we cut it right off the fruit.

History

Established in 2009.

Extreme Pizza Rathmines was opened on the 16th of December 2009 by owner Philip Martin a local Dubliner with a passion for great Pizza.

Extreme Pizza was founded by Todd Parent and Michael Pastor in 1994, with the first store located on Fillmore Street in San Francisco, California.

I have spent my entire life in this business and I’m happy to say I have no regrets, I love it to bits!

I really love being on the front line with customers, doing what ever I can to make them happy, its not always easy but I always listen, its what I enjoy most.

I have made some big decision over the years on the basis of customer feedback, and they have probably been the best I’ve made.

I don’t want Extreme Pizza to be one of the best, I want it to be the best, so any feedback you can give me and my team to make this possible would be great, good or bad it all helps and its all constructive.

I could not be happier with my new Extreme Pizza store in Rathmines, and would love to welcome you all in to try us, you wont regret it.

This place had really original pizzas and for those who like to play it safe all the regular classics. What was even better, especially for delivery was that they had a really solid online order system (where you could even order half&half pizzas) and their non-​pizza stuff was also amazing especially the wings.
However, it seems that they are now closed. Really hoping that they open back up somewhere else because I’ll be heart broken.

Tried this on Sunday for the first time with a couple of mates. Got 2 12 inch pizzas, chicken wings and wedges delivered. Delivery was quick enough. One of the lads forgot to order drinks and had to head out and get them and pizzas had arrived before he got back. It came to 55 which is pretty expensive but the pizzas ae nice. A bit more upmarket than dominos. Theres hummus on one of the pizzas;-) They could do with more meat on their pizzas. We all picked the ragin rooster. There wasnt really another option for 3 mildly hungover guys. Chicken wings were a bit spicy too and the wedges werent the best but the pizza was lovely and thats the main thing.

I was kind of between a 3 and a 4 star rating on this place, so I’ll give them the benefit of the doubt and mark down 4. Also, I got the pizza delivered, which usually degrades the taste of something, so it would most likely be a sure 4 if I ate in the restaurant.
I ordered the Pandora’s Box pizza with a wholegrain crust and my wife got the Turkey Monster Sub. The pizza was excellent. All of the toppings were fresh and tasted great. I really liked the crust as well. Probably the best pizza I’ve had in Dublin yet. The «monster» sandwich on the other hand was not that great. I don’t think any sandwich with only two slices of meat is worthy of the monster moniker. That being said, again the ingredients were of good quality and the taste was above par, but they need to be less stingy with the meat.
I also see that they have craft brews on tap in the restaurant. It’s always nice to see a restaurant support Irish Craft Brewers in this city that flooded with macrobrew friendly gobs. I will definitely be making a trip to the restaurant to try another pizza (they have tons of interesting options for pizzas) and drink a Galway Hooker Pale Ale.
So, I would definitely recommend trying out this restaurant for their pizza. Even delivered it tasted great, not to mention the delivery time was speedy.

wait, did i forget to review this place? i swear i wrote a review… hmmm…
i’m shocked because i was so utterly thrilled that a place i’d been missing terribly (oh holy cow, how i love thee) since i moved out of the mission district of san francisco; suddenly, without warning, popped up in dublin of all places. apparently, it’s the first (only?) one outside of the US.
did they hear my longing? are they following me? weird. but kinda awesome if they are :)
i love this place for so many reasons and most of them have already been covered by other reviewers so i’m just gonna add my little bit. besides the delicious inventive pizzas, i love the fact that they do online ordering. it’s easy and fast and they don’t call you up to confirm the order. i really hate that about a lot of places that have online ordering — i mean come on, if i wanted to talk to a person, i’d have used the phone in the first place! lemme have my antisocial, impersonal ordering system already! don’t make me talk to a human, just bring me some food!
the thing that sets extreme apart from other places tho is that the owner really cares about the customers and his product. i had an issue with an online coupon so i emailed them. not half an hour later i got a personal email back from the owner apologizing and letting me know that he’d look into fixing the problem. fantastic!
i love them and i hope they succeed. please eat there so they don’t go under! that would make me so sad. you don’t wanna make me sad do you? :)

Footie on the box. Remnants of the night before hugging and slowing down my motor neurone system. The cure? Pizza of course.
After reading the great reviews from you folks I decided to try and see if you do have taste after all — yes you do, you are the taste purveyors of circles of gooey joy.
I used the on-​line order form, really well done. Got BBQ chicken, you could ask for what type of grain you wanted in your base as well as well as herbs etc. Feeling slightly health conscious I decided on the wheat as I lay dangling on my couch.
Minimum order is € 15, pizza came to € 9 so that meant I just had to order some boneless wings, my belly braced itself.
Delivery was really quick and with a smile and well the pizza was fab. Like a gourmet pizza that actually felt good for me. The wings were huge like my exasperated belly after. But watching men run after a ball made me feel that bit more athletic.

Was just there once but will defo be going back, dropped in because I heard they sell Irish craft beer on draught, had a delicious 8″ pizza and a pint of Galway Hooker (best Irish beer) for a tenner. Pizza was way ahead of your Dominos and 4 Star stodgy fare. Great to see something completely different and high quality in dining in Dublin.

This place, where most businesses have an arrogant gland, merely has a second awesomeness gland.
Ambience is something special, everything nice and relaxed, sat here having a chat with friends for 2 hours after we were finished and all that was said to us is «You get free refills with your drinks just help yourselves»!!!
The music Rocked, The pizza is dare I say it, yes I do, revolutionary. Nothing overpowers the other parts of the food, you can taste the bread, the sauce AND the cheese with every bite, and the garlic dip is the best I’ve ever had.
Friendly staff, a great philosophy and some winning recipes. Dominoes and Pizza Hut move over. The Daddy of the pizza world just moved in!

Funny old world really, despite my last review where I said I probably wouldn’t go back (despite suspecting I would be missing out) I got the opportunity to give Extreme Pizza an second bash and guess what? Q was 100% correct… I was missing out!
The Ragin’ Rooster is now the food I would like to nominate as my last meal before they throw the switch… I would die really very happy indeed.
So, a good, I’ll be back again Kathleen, 4 stars to Extreme Pizza. Tremendous.

Everytime I hear the word extreme I can’t help, but think of the Harold and Kumar movies with those Extreme Sports guys. and then they’re not so extreme mixed tape, but now in Dublin Xtreme has a new meaning. Good bye Pizza Hut hello Xtreme pizza. Literally in the past week Xtreme pizza has taken over the spot on the corner of Rathmines Road and a welcome change it is.
The two big draws for me were that delivery was free and you could order online. Unfortunately, the online ordering system isn’t up yet, but I did learn that it’s also a chain in the US. Being from the US I have to admit I’ve never heard of it before, but it doesn’t look like it’s made it to my neck of the woods yet. Another big draw just like you get in New York is that you can order your pizza by the slice, the sign on the window promises to have it ready in 5 minutes or less!
We went for the meal deal for two, now it was a bit pricey at € 19 excluding the cost of drinks, but we weren’t disappointed with the amount of food we got. The wedges were nice and light and the twisted sticks were a nice pizza dough and cheese mix (yum). The pizza reminded me a lot of California Pizza Kitchen pizza. You could tell it’s one of those fast food pizza chain pizzas but the ingredients were nice and it had a nice flavour to it.
The menu is chock-​full of different, unique varieties of pizza and a create your own section as well as ‘monster sambos’, salads, and sides like chicken wings and a dessert called ‘big chewy cookie’. Not sure where you’d find the space to fit all of that, but check out the specials they’re offering like € 3 off any delivery (Mon-​Thursi). It’s a nice change from the other chain pizza places in the area.
