As Burren and Cliffs of Moher Day Tours go, this one is really a cut above the rest. And yes, I’ve tried quite a few of them over the years…
The bus drivers tend to be the sort of ‘aul fella’ you meet in pubs,. who always have a story to tell. Ours even sang an Irish song dedicated to all the ladies on the bus. The tour has quite a few photo stops in the Burren, at various castles and churches (read ruins) and the only downside is that there is no time to head to the Ailwee caves. Still, it’s far more entertaining than other tours I’ve tried, due to the driver having the gift of the gab, and also cheaper (we paid 10 EUR per person).
