Bujinkan Taijutsu is a complete Martial art which in corporates Nine schools of traditional Martial art. The syllabus covers unarmed techniques and classical weapons. The Bujinkan is a practical self defense system, there is no competition format, due to the nature of the training. We study classical techniques and adopt them to fit modern day situations. All classes are conducted in a relaxed atmosphere, to encourage students exploration of the techniques and to build there own confidence and understanding of Bujinkan Taijutsu. John has been training in Martial arts for the last 27 years. He started his martial journey, when he began training in ITF Tae kwon do. John Studied the korean Martial art for 11 years, where he held the rank of first degree black belt, during this time John ran two clubs in Rathmines and Churchtown with two fellow instructors in the art.

While teaching in the clubs, John started to doubt the Art of Tae Kwon Do and felt that it had lost its way and was to much directed to sport and competitions. At this stage John decided to leave Tae kwon do and start a journey to find a Martial art which was much more about traditional training and practical self defence.

John met up with a friend who was previously a fellow Tae kwon do instructor. Shihan Tommy Lawlor (15^th Dan), who had gone through the same situation. John began his journey under the guideness of his friend and Teacher for the last 16yrs.

On 9÷03÷2010 john past is 5^th Dan test and gained a instructors licence to open a dojo.
