Great, fast carvery. Tasty and predictable(Except when one of the veg sides is creamed celery — why!!!) I come here about once every 2 weeks with my 82 year old nan when she has art class as its nice and quick and she can get her half portion! The helpful manager always carries the tray over for me when I’m paying and knows us well now he will just go off and find my nan and if ive forgotten glasses of water he fetches them! Great sandwich bar here too and tasty desserts. Also, there is a lovely little garden centre open on the complex now which is nice to pop into

I was invited here to a 40th birthday party which was held in their nice, but understaffed function room. The place is easy to get to with ample parking. The bouncer on the door was very friendly and didn’t make me feel like a suspect trying to cross a national checkpoint. The interior is okay. This is not the kind of place one would go to for a quiet pint. In general the clientele are mature, so if you’re a young singleton, this is not the place to pull. Unless you’re into that kind of thing! They had entertainment on, and the guy(who was a cross between Seal and Mike Tyson) was vocally very good, albeit a tad embarrassing to watch while he played air guitar on stage solo. The function room itself is a nice set up, but where’s the staff?! We had a bar to ourselves but no barman. Guests had to go to the very crowded main bar to get drinks. The finger food was plentiful and good. All in all, it’s an okay place, but didn’t wow me at all. Not somewhere I’d actively go to.
