Dooley’s Hotel

This hotel was cozy and structured in a very unique way. They have one small elevator for those that are unable to walk the many stairs in this hotel. The hallways have two to four step stairs, then plateau before hitting an actual flight of stairs. It was interesting.
The rooms are heated, but the hallways are not. We were FREEZING walking down the halls on our way to the hotel restaurant for dinner.
The hotel has a restaurant that serves delicious food. I had a cauliflower and ginger soup, irish beef stew made with guinness, and a brownie with ice cream for dessert. Service here was busy but good. We were a group of 80 and the staff still maintained their friendliness despite the large crowd.
In the evening the hotel has a dancing show event. It is only on select evenings though.
The hotel does not offer free wifi. Thankfully we were situated in a room that was directly across from a bus station so we were able to connect to the wifi from the bus station.
My two issues with this hotel was that it took FOREVER for the hot water to get hot in the morning. After running the water for 20 minutes, the water was still just lukewarm. Plus, the hotel turned the heater off in the middle of the night and did not turn the heat back on until 630am in the morning when we were getting ready to leave.
Other than these minor issues, our stay was nice and the beds were comfortable. Views are also very nice from here and our room had a pant press. This hotel definitely has history!
