Beautiful location with great restaurants. The staff will be happy to answer questions and show you around the castle. I wish I could get married again just to have a wedding here. The new lodge rooms are very nice.

Beautiful castle hotel. Rooms are spacious with gorgeous landscape including some cute Shetland ponies in the front yard.

Stayed here a year ago for its experience and proximity to the ring of kerry. It was such a beautiful old castle. Ate bar food in one of the sitting areas since it was more affordable– had some of the best salmon of my life. Our room included breakfast which was also good. Highly recommended!

Just back from a renewal of vows here. it was absolutely amazing. i cant praise this hotel enough. its very old style and quaint. but the rooms were spectacular. my room was«paddy power», the rooms all have names as opposed to numbers. new flat screen TV’s, all the mod cons, and my bed was a massive 4 poster. the ceremony was beautiful and all the staff were great. the food was out of this world. i got a steak for my main course and it was at least 20oz,(no exaggeration) it was one of the best nights sleep I’ve ever had. i only hope i have an excuse to go back. thank you so much

Ridiculous… this was the perfect venue for a wedding reception, easily the most luxurious I’ve attended… felt like it was my home, everyone wandering and lounging where they pleased, with several tea/coffee rooms, beautiful garden, Shetland ponies, dinning rooms and entertainment halls, lots of painting of somber stuffy people… being an American, I didn’t know hotel bars in Ireland are required to stay open 24 hrs for their patrons… yes, it was a grand party… If I am ever in this part of Ireland again, I would definitely book a room here and try to relive the memory…

Wonderful establishment with gracious and helpful staff ! Upon arrival we were greeted by Mr. Higgins and Einstein(a 17 month old Irish Wolfhound and a short furry dog of some other breed). They were an extra treat… and turned out to be a highlight. Great food … wonderful dining room staff… particularly Esther who had tips daily for places to explore… and beautiful surroundings. Would go back here in a heartbeat !

We stayed here on April 14, 2012 and had an amazing time. The room and grounds were beautiful. The location was very convenient for the Ring of Kerry. We also opted to eat in the bar as the dining room was very expensive. It was wonderful to sit by the fire and play fetch with Einstein. Later in the evening, a staff member gave a small group of guests a tour and history of the building. It was a wonderful way to spend an evening in Ireland. To be honest, we spent another evening at a different luxurious castle hotel but we preferred the hospitality and atmosphere of Ballyseede!

Me and 5 of my girlfriends stayed here back in 2010 and had a great time. This place was amazing and we were all so glad we stayed here for the night! We were traveling around Ireland and staying at hostels mostly but we decided to splurge one night and stay at a castle. It was a little pricey but definitely worth it! With 6 girls arriving at a nice quiet castle, I’m sure we were a bit of a handful but the staff was friendly and helpful. We had 2 rooms and they were stunning and HUGE! We felt like royalty in these rooms, huge sitting area by the windows, 2 nice large beds and a nice little bathroom, all with big windows looking out over the grounds. There were two resident dogs living there when we stayed and I had great fun playing with them and they followed us around everywhere! There are also donkeys out front which was fun. The grounds are beautiful– we sat out back from some wine and tea in the evening which was so nice. I ate at the bar at night, the restaurant was very expensive so I just ate and drank at the bar which was good. The next morning we all enjoyed the big breakfast that came with our room fee– it was huge and delicious! They had internet that wasn’t too expensive also. I have recommended this place to so many people who were going to Ireland– it was just so peaceful and beautiful(inside and out)!
