In the 1800’s Chinato was a medicinal tonic, much like Coke or Pepsi was back in the day. Mauro Vergano spent many years making Chinati as a hobby.. A chemist and enologist, He picked up tonics from a pharmacist relative. He now makes an Americano Vino Aromatizzato which is a great Chinato wine blend. Nice bitterness but a great smooth finish. Fairly cheap as wines go so it’s a great thing to have in your fully stocked bar as an after dinner drink. 4.25 stars
