Food’s great, service horrendous. For some strange reason the servers kept ignoring us. My friend was even chocking and we couldn’t get water.(luckily I had a bottle in my bag). Not sure if they were ignoring us because we were American, gay, not regulars? One of us even speaks Italian. When the food does come, it is good. Our hotel recommend them, so maybe Tony’s as a place locals go, but maybe they just don’t want tourists?

Eating at Trattoria Tony wasn’t awful nor was it awesome. It’s a Trattoria, so casual no fuss dining is to be expected. It was both of those things, and that’s okay. Everything was ‘okay’. Not particularly delicious, not particularly good value, service was patchy(dishes came out ad hoc — contorni arrived on my last forkful of secondi), not particularly good atmosphere(however, worth noting that we were seated inside as the alfresco area was very full). This place is somewhat hyped, but I’m not sure why.
