Terme di Cervia e di Brisighella

The Terme di Cervia (the Cervia Spa) are located in the Milano Marittima section of this well known Italian seaside resort, just a few miles from Ravenna. The Terme are located in a modern building, close to a large pine wood, so in reasonably pleasant surroundings, despite the fact that the building itself looks very institutional. Once inside the Terme feels, well, like a hospital really… a busy reception desk, queues outside consulting rooms and a brisk service backed by equally zippy nurses and health care assistants. A pervasive smell of rotten eggs, caused by the various mud packs etc, is everywhere but this is to be expected. Most of the clientèle is either quite elderly or very young and it’s worth remembering that in Italy Terme (Spas) are offered as part of their national health service, so these aren’t just pampering places, but proper health centres.
