This really is as good as it gets. We showed up without reservations and were greeted with such a warm welcome we felt like royalty. We were literally the only people here so it was as if it was our own winery. For $ 25 per person we had a food which was meats, cheeses, breads, and desserts… and of course their outstanding wine. We were provided four bottles and(3 red and 1 white). Usually, I am not a fan of White but this was so refreshing and awesome we purchased the bottle and drank it the next day. The service at the Villa Loggio was excellent and everything we tried from the food to the wine was absolutely perfect. This place is in the middle of nowhere but worth the drive.

We went to the winery for a private Tuscan cooking class and wine tasting which was exquisite to say the least. We were greeted by the owners Sara and Hans along with their dog and puppy. What a beautiful place with it’s 360 degree panoramic views along with it’s wonderfully appointed grounds. We loved the mix of modern that did not overpower the history of the architecture and its gorgeous grounds. The local chefs they brought in to teach us were equally as wonderful and truly passionate about what they do. We had their Losna chardonnay which was very nice especially for this region which is not known for chards and the Curtun red was stellar. I personally loved the Curtun and found it much more pleasurable then most of the chiantis I’ve tried in the area. Can’t wait to come back and hopefully bring more of the family to share.
