Sheraton

This Sheraton is directly across the street from the airport so it’s extremely convenient for those travelers with short layovers between flights. Another convenance this hotel offers is a short walk to the train station. The only negative is that there isn’t much for restaurants besides those located in the airport or the one at the hotel. The rooms are clean and décor is modern. One of the coolest things is that each room has silver plastic curtains to block out the sun and keep out the heat. I have stayed here a couple times and would recommend it.

Other than the fact that half the guests are flight attendants/​pilots, you’d never guess this was an «airport hotel»
– it’s actually fairly luxurious! There’s a full spa with treatment options, a great restaurant, lounge and bar.
The hotel is very modern, clean, spacious and all around excellent. The staff are great and speak multiple languages.

Great location right at the airport, but it took me two elevator rides to figure out I needed to get off at the lower floor and then exit right to go under a tunnel to get to the hotel. (Maybe it was just due to my jet lag? I want/​need an excuse not to feel dumb).
Check in was interesting — they have x2desk, one for executive members and another for the plebs, which did make me feel like a 2^nd class citizen somewhat. Also, my credit card got charged an extra 30% on top of my company room rate (wtf? I was staying 6 nights so that was a major chunk of my credit, gone — not that I was planning on going to any fashion houses in Milan, but still!!)
There are only 3 floors, and I was on #3. Like the concept of an all day buffet /​grazing place. Disliked the vast space I had to walk across to get to my room. Loved the bathroom — awesome, huge shower with great power jets and a bidet! Also there was a loofah — sweet!
Did I mention that I really really love the bathroom and all its amenities — whoever designed it did so very thoughtfully and sympathetically. From the shower head which has all the speeds (gentle rain shower to atomic jet), the in-​built non slippery grooves on the shower floor, how spacious the shower feels, the placement of the towels, the loofah (omg! When was the last time u got a loofah at your hotel?!) to the two hooks by the side of the door, as well as the bidet– I am just a fan! But I wish their toiletries would also up the game — seriously, who wants to use a body soap that uses Red-​5 as a component? And we are in Italy — there are tons of Eco-​friendly options that are better for the skin and which also don’t hit the purse too harshly.

This hotel couldn’t have a better location– it’s literally connected to Terminal 1, how convenient is that?! And event better, it’s also located right where the Malpensa Express train stops. What does that mean? If you’re staying in Milan and have an early flight, this is the place to stay! You can check-​in, drop off your bags and then take the Malpensa Express into Milan. It take about an hour but it sure beats driving into Milan, which can be confusing. It’s not the cheapest place to stay, but you’re paying for location and peace of mind. The hotel is pretty close to brand new, it’s clean, the rooms are spacious and the guest service is top notch. There’s tons of seating space in the lobby and hallways to plug in your computer and get some work done too.

After spending the day in Milan, we took the last train to the airport. The Sheraton is right next to the Terminals and train station for Malpensa airport, which is extremely convenient. It’s about a 5-​minute walk from the hotel, but it can be 10 minutes depending on where your room is.
Check in was pretty smooth considering that I’m a platinum member. There was a small issue in that they had my wife’s name on the reservation and didn’t see that I was a platinum member. I didn’t receive any noticeable platinum upgrade, but given that I was only going to be staying for 6 hours I didn’t really care. I only needed a bed to sleep for a few hours. My room was quite far from the elevators. Carrying 3 suitcases and a stroller, I would have preferred something closer to the elevators. The room was spacious and the bed was comfortable. I took a nice hot and relaxing shower. The lounge was quite nice for breakfast as it contained many items to choose from. But if you’re staying on a different floor, this will take some time to get to.
I recommend this hotel for anyone that has an early morning flight out of MXP. We literally walked out of our hotel and were at the gates in no time. It makes for a less stressful morning.

The hotel is located outside terminal 1 of Malpensa Milano airport. Is a huge complex with hundreds’ rooms, so expect to walk a little bit. Very convenient if you need to take a flight or staying overnight. A little expensive, but affordable (120 $). If you are a priority member, the breakfast is included. Fitness room with dry sauna is 10 euro/​day.

The Sheraton Malpensa is summarized in a word: convenience. It’s located at the entrance of Terminal 1, right where the Malpensa Express train stops. If you’re staying in Milan and have an early flight, this is the place to stay, in spite of the price premium for quite literally any add-​on. SPG members will enjoy the usual perks for free.
Couple of things to note: the rooms are fairly large and nicely decorated, but don’t expect a memorable view. The curtains are odd and not exactly functional. No food options outside the hotel so the restaurants are the way to go: pricey but they do the job, with a pretty decent room service if you’re so inclined. The gym is quite good, and, hear hear, there’s a pool as well, all included in the rate.
All in all, a good option before a long international flight or an early morning departure. And if you have status, the perks are quite nice.

Out of necessity we booked this rooming. We realized we were paying a premium for location, but thought it would pay off in saved time and service. We arrived at the hotel and the line to check in took approximately 15 minutes. In my opinion, after a long day of traveling, this is too long to wait and another counter should have been opened to assist guests. There was only one person in front of us in line, but there were three people behind us. The check-​in agent was very pleasant and helpful and we went up to our room. The room was very nice and we found the bed to be very comfortable and luxurious, but I’m afraid that was the end of our positive experience.
My partner was very eager to swim in the pool, so we immediately went there. There was no mention previously of the mandatory swim cap policy or the 5EUR charge for a cap. Regardless, we paid the money and went into the pool. However we were very surprised to find that there were two people already in the pool that did NOT have caps on. Now for a female with long hair, I understand. However my partner is a male with short hair — just like the other two guests already swimming. Why was he asked to pay and wear the cap but not these other two people? He asked this question and was told his hair was longer. But this was not true-​so it seems the policy is not mandatory, but it is subjective to the person at the desk at the pool. That doesn’t make sense; we paid for our room just as they had. And we were even willing to abide by the policy requiring caps… but it was obviously not a policy that applied to everyone. This was very disturbing.
We then decided to get a glass of wine at the social hour. I was told there was no charge — but when I did get a glass of wine there was a 5EUR charge. Then we went to dinner in the restaurant. My partner ordered a steak and I ordered a pasta dish. We waited about 20 minutes for our dinner. Finally his steak arrived, but not my pasta. The waiter was very busy with other tables and did not stop by to make sure we were okay. Finally, I waved to him and asked him to check on my order. He did not even stop — just walked by and nodded. Fifteen minutes later my dinner finally arrived, but was cold. I could not tell the server as he was too busy, so I didn’t make a fuss. Additionally, we had already waited so long for our dinner that I just wanted to leave. I did not finish my pasta because it was cold, and even though the server took away a full plate he did not inquire if everything was okay.
The positive note was that the wifi in our room was free and worked great, but I think that was all. My partner says he thinks we were treated poorly because we made reservations through
, but we were still guests of the hotel and we still paid a very fair price. To me, this should not be an excuse as to why we did not have great service.

The room was nice and clean. But looking out onto the inside garage. Better to leave the curtains closed!
No free wifi apart from special areas like the lift area — people were sitting on the floor with their laptops. Ridiculous for a business hotel. Having to pay 3 euro per hour to use internet in your room is not acceptable.
Service could be better.

If you’re flying out of Milan you gotta love the convenience of being in a hotel attached to the airport. The terminal is literally 5 minutes from my room. Makes for super easy getaways.
And the rooms are great! Lots of space, superb quality beds and bedding, flat screen TVs, and brand new bathrooms. Oh yeah, I have to mention the outstanding water pressure level. After a week of mediocre showers in the Tuscan countryside, I suddenly felt like I was showering under an opened hydrant.
As for the cons, well, this Sheraton is pretty much a clip joint as far as extras go. Pizza and a burger? 33 bucks. Wifi access? 18 bucks. Want a swim in the pool? 15 bucks. Bah.
All in all though, this is a great hotel and it’s far better than most US based Sheraton’s I’ve stayed at. If you have the cash youll be fine, but for those on a budget, watch out.

You’re definitely paying a premium to be connected to the airport, but if you don’t want to deal with the hassle of sketchy taxi drivers and un-​reliable hotel transpo options to catch your early morning flight, then this place is totally worth it. The front desk agent gave me complimentary free wifi and a room upgrade. The room was wonderful, bed was heavenly, and the bathroom was pretty… basically, it’s what you would expect from a Sheraton that’s not totally ghetto and out dated. Like others have said, it could easily take several minutes to find your room because the hotel is so large and spread out and the rooms aren’t all in one section. I would totally stay here again if I had an early flight (or late arrival), but book in advance or it will get really pricey. The restaurant is totally overpriced and the food is just meh — basically, what you’d expect from a hotel restaurant. Decent food options are slim at MXP so if you can, I highly recommend picking food up elsewhere before checking in… assuming you’re going to want to eat at some point during your stay.

It is a huge and impersonal airport hotel with excellent design, nice rooms, good restaurant and bar. It is conveniently located within walking distance of Terminal 1. Rooms are clean, security staff looks quite angry, no baggage service and you have to walk some minutes to find your room The in-​room WiFi did not work well with me. To slow and lots of interruptions. I did not get any information of the hotel facilities whilst checking in. (healtclub options, WiFi, upgrade, restaurant recommendations etc,);
Booking over internet plattforms or agents will save you money.
However, nothing big to complain, neither to point out positively.

This Sheraton is conveniently located off of Terminal 1, near the train terminals. I didn’t have time to go to Milan, but I was told it’s a 30 minute train ride to the city center. The rooms in the hotel have been updated sometime in the not-​so-​distant past, so they’re clean and comfortable. I thought there was a lack of electric outlets, I had to unplug a lamp just to use my charger. In this day and age, it continually blows my mind that consumers still have to pay for wifi access. At 12 € a day, I expect a much faster connection than is provided by this Sheraton. If you’re patient, you can hang out in public spaces, because there’s free, but slow wifi there. Give yourself 10 – 15 minutes to checkout because if there’s a line, things will move pretty slowly. From the hotel, it’s only a 5 minute to the check-​in counters. Not the best value, but if you’re staying here, my guess is you’re not looking for a deal.

Pleasantly surprised with this airport hotel. It’s just steps from Terminal 1 and the Train Station into Milan. We especially enjoyed the bathtub, pool, in-​room wifi, and self-​serve espresso in the lobby. Definitely upgrade to the Club Lounge option to enjoy a full breakfast and early evening wine and aperitivos. Check their website for special offers. High value choice if you’re flying in and out of Milan and don’t plan on staying more than 2 days in Milan (it’s a 35 minute train ride into the city).

Stayed here twice — once on purpose and once by accident. The first night was at the beginning of our trip. We had to meet our tour group at the airport early the next morning so staying here was the easiest and fastest. And surprise surprise, I had some of the best lasagna I tried in Italy in the hotel bar.
On the way home, American Airlines put us up here for the night when our flight was cancelled. For the way Sheraton handled our otherwise frustrating experience, I have to give them five stars. We were given wonderful food (great lasagna again!) for three meals in a row, and our rooms were clean and spacious. The process of getting a flight full of angry people into rooms was handled flawlessly. They even packed us a breakfast for the flight the next morning.
There is also free WiFi in the bar and lobby which allowed me to email my boss to let her know I wouldn’t be at work the next day!
In general, airport hotels aren’t anything special, but Sheraton was a perfectly pleasant place to stay for an unexpected extra night in Italy.

I stayed at this hotel because I had a very early flight from Malpensa and thought staying right in the airport would be easiest. Everything was very complicated, I got no help with my bags and they didn’t have a scale so that I could weigh my bags and re-​pack if need be, before my international flight. I think another hotel with a shuttle would have saved me a walk and perhaps had more supportive staff or amenities to help the average traveler. Really expected more from this hotel.
