We stayed at the Seccy Hotel in Fiumicino because of an early morning flight. La Pizzazetta is right next door, so you can’t get much more convenient. As is typical of restaurants in Italy, they don’t open for dinner until 7:30pm(19:30). The four of us each had a different appetizer and a different pizza. The menu contains a number of traditional entrée entries in addition to just pizza. All of the appetizers were great as were our pizzas. We were particularly impressed with the mussel appetizer — about 20 or so perfectly prepared steamed mussels. Delicious! None of us managed to finish both our appetizer and pizza – it was just a little too much really good food! We arrived at about 7:40, and there were already a few people in the restaurant. During our stay, a number of groups of locals came in, as well a a large number of people picking up their«takeaway» pizza orders – always a good sign to me. With tablecloths on the tables, this is a step up from most«American-style» pizza places, but nevertheless four stars is probably the highest rating I’d ever give to a pizzaria.

Stopped for a quick bite. The Pizza was great! We had 4 big slices and a bottle of wine for € 11.
