Bavarian dream in the Florentine suburbs! I have been here twice and really liked it both time, it’s like a little bit of Oktoberfest on a lively stretch of via aretina.
Make reservations as it does get very crowded, I would absolutely order the fried bread with cheese as a starter which is absolutely amazing, and full of garlic. I could not get enough of this! I got the ‘piatto bavarese’ that was a unique plate with potatoes, a fried egg, wurstel and cheese. It was absolutely awesome and the perfect entrée. Also their variety of Bavarian sausages are quite good as well.
You must also get the warm ‘brezel’ (large soft pretzels). They are warm and gorgeous, plus they gave us the cutest little wooden stand to hold our pretzels on the center of our table.
You can order huge half liter or liter beers, or even a snake bite (I had a giggle when they wrote ‘snackbite’ on their menu). which is a mix of cider and beer. The strudel is good but likely you will be too full to finish.
Very impressed, this is way better than the other hofbrau place near piazza della liberta. Great place to go with friends and kid-​friendly.
