Happened upon this ice cream shop by chance and tho I wasn’t thinking of gelato, had to go in because it looked so inviting. What a surprise, some of the best ice cream I’ve had and what I loved about this place were the flavors — not the regular ones you find in other shops but different and unique like persimmon, kiwi, chestnut, almond and others I can’t remember. These are all fruits that are in season too. The idea of seasonal gelato flavors is awesome!

My favourite gelateria in Florence! The ingredients are fresh and high quality, the flavours change seasonally and the price is fair. Stay away from those horrible hills of fluo ice cream full of chemicals that you find in the city centre and come here to taste real Italian ice cream! The owner is really nice and will answer all of your questions about his product! They also have a shop near piazza signoria, check it out

I am picky about gelato, and this little place outside of the city centre satisfies my difficult palate. The gelato is made from real seasonal fruit and natural ingredients in a truly artisanal manner. This and Le Parigine downtown are IMO the best in Florence. At a Unilocal gelato event last year the gelateria owner told us that you should not be thirsty right after eating gelato. I am not thirsty after my cone of «fresco carapina» — the best real mint flavour in the whole word!
