My dinner was special since it was organized for a birthday party with a seafood set menu for 15 people and one of the guests works here. So as a «priviledged» I could taste a 4 courses meal starting with Octopus and shrimp salad in orange sauce Fish and potatoes mesh Swordfish carpaccio Pasta with seafood carbonara Salmon over lemon potatoes mesh Millefoglie Dinner was perfect We had to wait a bit more since we were so many, but the quality of food was perfect Wine is my missing 5 star, the wine of the house wasn’t that good compared to the quality of this meal!

Delicious selection of fish, meats and even pizza! A rarity in Florence that you find a restaurant that serves this food selection and does it well. The chefs Gianni & Ciccio started the epic Filipepe around 2001 on San Niccolo. They have bought their flavours to Cucineria la Mattonaia and have added more styles to their menu like vegan specialites. The wine list is mediocre although the great food and ambience makes up for it

This place is so beautiful! I just love the way they renewed it — it used to be a pizzeria back then. But now it’s a cozy, chic restaurant. I went with my boyfriend, but saw many families with their children enjoying dinner. Very suitable for both. The food is awesome — we had baccala spread with«cecina» as a starter and then pizza and spaghetti with mussels and pistachios. Everything was so delicious and very well put together. +5 attention to details. I recommend this place to anyone looking for great food and atmosphere!!!

Was told about this palace by a local Florentine, and can’t help but write a review to raves out it. I’ve been living Florence and have tried many good restaurants, but this is by far the best food I’ve had in Florence. A bit of a walk, but SOOO worth it!

the margherita pizza here with bufala is very very good! very authentic thin crust and the sauce is very good. Compared to other pizzas in Florence, the pizza is way more saucy. Very tasty! Also, the cheesecake in a jar was excellent ~!!!

Fuimos recomendados por varios amigos, ya que el local es gestionado por gente joven. Desde fuera es precioso y parece muy elegante. El restaurante está montado muy bonito con el horno de leña a la vista, invita a entrar, luego dentro el ambiente es más animado(a veces demasiado) de lo que parece desde fuera(ya que parece elegante desde fuera). La comida la verdad es que al principio fue un poco confuso ya que el menú hay casi casi que estudiarlo para saber qué pedir, no son demasiados platos pero casi todos son muy largos y dificiles de entender, menos mal que estaba escrito también en Inglés. El antipasto que tomamos estaba bastante bueno y el segundo los Cubos de Atún estaban Buenisimos, altamente recomendables, la fritura pues una fritura sin más. A la comida le daría un 8, calidad precio un 8 también. Sin embargo, el servicio era un poco caótico, lo único que no me gustó para nada, y por lo unico por lo que le doy 3 estrellas en vez de 4 es que al pedir el café y la cuenta tardaron 40 min en traerlo, de hecho tuvimos que pedirlo a 3 camareros distintos, si bien lo tuvieron en cuenta y no nos los cobraron… Recomendado para ir con amigos!
