Amazing presentation and food! Chef really likes what he does, he has a talent for this and a passion for food. Complimentary tomato gazpacho soup with carrots, mushroom, sesame seeds and lettuce was really good! Vegetable spring rolls were amazing! Tagliatelle — I really liked flavor of this dish. It was amazingly fresh and delicious! Mediterranean potato floral pasta filled dish was pretty good too. No official desserts on the menu, just a display of biscotti, coconut balls, apple dessert and chocolate Brownie thing. Great service, and very nice employees. Décor is traditional bookstore, home feel to it. Small area, might miss it if you walk by, no official sign on top of building, but definitely worth it!

Great atmosphere. Very welcoming host. Art and books are impressive; great attention to detail. Meal felt good — very enjoyable and may go again. It’s a creative place! The starting cream you’re given is really neat, and the bread I got was warm.

Probably one of the best meals I’ve had in Florence. I was not expecting this from a bookstore/restaurant. I had the most beautiful spinach salad with thinly sliced beets & pomegranates. I also had the organic beef with onions. If you are only in Florence for a few days, make sure you dine here at least once. They also have a very nice wine selection & draft beers. Staff is very attentive. I loved it!

At first glance, the place makes you say«cuuuute» out loud! Such a careful touch of design, warm colors, vintage scrapes, flowers of any sort, soft yellow lights, pictures hanging from the wall. Service is welcoming from the start, they offer a menu both in Italian and English, but what is really likeable, they are not pressing like in some other haute cuisine restaurants. We ordered a salad(the exotic) which was very satisfying and it would have been enough as a whole meal itself and then I took Maltagliati with ginger, yogurt and eggplants and a seafood dish that was salmon with a fresh tomato sauce. They brought us an amazing gazpacho while we were waiting for our commande. And the long waiting between the dishes is why I’m giving 4*. We weren’t that many people and we sat at 8.40 and finished at 11.10. Sometimes it’s the best way to enjoy a dish and your meal with calm, but it’s also true a little bit faster wouldn’t kill. In the end, if you have time, this place Is just perfect. Pricy, but totally worth it!

Cuculia is an adorable, quirky bar/bookstore/bookshop/exhibition space on via de’ Serragli. It may look small from the outside, but looks are very deceiving; to the left of the main entrance is a dining area with books, and if you walk straight ahead you’ll find a long room with even more books, plus a tiny outdoor nook that’s perfect for a cocktail by candlelight. They have a fantastic aperitivo that consists of a drink, plus a plate of food. But not just your usual aperitivo fare. They serve you a plate with several foods, artfully arranged. You almost don’t want to eat, but when you do you’ll be glad you did. They also have a long list of cocktails, long drinks, teas, hot chocolate, etc. They also have hold children’s workshops, art show openings, performances, etc. Definitely pay them a visit. I wish I went more when I lived there!
