I really want to give this place 5 stars for the outstanding service, great location and overall charm. Unfortunately, we discovered bugs in our sheets the size of a few grains of rice(think elongated black lady bug). The staff graciously moved us to a room on a lower floor, but it still had bugs(this time, little translucent things that looked like mites). Please do something about the bugs, and I will recommend this place to anyone coming to Florence.

Love this hotel. Close to Duomo and historic center. We are here on our second stay and will be back. Room 39 is the best(though don’t ask for it because next time I come, I want it) with a terrace and Duomo views. Beware there are stairs involved but worth it!!!

The history and primo location is perfect for any first-time turisti. The breakfast is superb, the room is well kept, and is quiet(which we love). My only grievance or admonition the staff can be curt with you.

First time in Florence, Italy for that matter. I loved our room. LOVED. We had an amazing view of the Duomo from our ultra comfortable bed. The suite had two bathrooms one with a small soaking tub. Our room was very clean, had everything we needed. My one complaint, and it’s a big one, is that the staff was robotic. Not one of the front desk persons were gracious or kind. No one very friendly, was a bit of a let down. The one shining star was the gentleman working at the bar serving cappuccino in the morning. Best I’ve ever had. In a nutshell… Great location, nicely appointed, but missed the mark with customer service.

Lovely hotel full of history. We had a junior suite on the top floor. SO spacious!!! The A/C was still operable(mid September) so the warm evenings were fine and we didn’t have to deal with mosquitos. The staff was very helpful. The surroundings were lovely and the location was excellent. My only complaint is out of control of the hotel, but a bummer nonetheless. At 4am every day, garbage trucks come to the square out front to empty the dumpsters. Anyone with a room facing the front of the hotel will not sleep past 4am.

My wife and I had several conversations about how we would rate this hotel. We constantly went back and forth between a 3 and 4, but ultimately settled on a 4 due to their excellent service. The hotel is located very central to the sites on a piazza, however, the is a decent amount of homeless folks that sleep on the piazza at night. We were never bothered or hassled, but it always provides need for caution in the late hours of the evening. A laundromat is literally a minute away, which was ideal and useful. Breakfast was European style as would be expected and it was good with made to order cappuccinos. The staff are excellent and are quickly able to match your face to your room number. The free wifi was great and we had no connectivity issues as mentioned by others. The only negatives were the fact that our room had numerous Mosquitos, the bed was not very comfortable, and the hotel had turned off the AC for the season. I specifically booked the hotel due to the fact that it had AC, which would have been nice with weather in the mid to upper 70s. Unfortunately, we had to keep our windows closed at night due to the presence of Mosquitos outside, however, they still found a way into our room. We easily killed 10 – 15 Mosquitos in our room, yet we were still eaten alive.

My boyfriend and I stayed at the Hotel Loggiato dei Serviti in Florence for a couple of days the last week of December 2011. I booked the room directly online, had no problems and got a good rate. Our room was in the annex building which is a couple of doors down from the main building. I believe the rooms in the annex are bigger than the ones in the main building or so I was told. Our room was a nice size and décor was simple if a little sparse. Bathroom was quite large and had heated floors and towel rack which was much appreciated since is it was very cold during our visit. I did have to request an extra cleaning when we first checked in becasue the room seemed like it hadn’t been used recently. Once that was done, all was good. It was so quiet and I had no trouble sleeping. Breakfast was included and it was hearty enough to get us through to lunch. The two ladies that worked the front desk at various times during our stay were so kind and helpful. They booked appointments for us at the Accademia and the Uffizi Galleries. Tip: The hotel is around the corner from the Accademia where the David is displayed. Granted it was off season but we got up and walked over around 9:00a or 9:30a and got right in. No line whatsoever. Major line going down the street when we came out. The early bird gets the worm or so it would seem when it comes to museum visits. We ended up cancelling our reservation because we didn’t even need it. The hotel is also just a few blocks from the Duomo and it’s set in a great piazza. I would stay here again. Great location and great service. Can’t ask for more.
