Yummy and cheap! Great place to stop for a sandwich while walking around. We paid only $ 8 for two sandwiches and two waters. My husband got the truffle ham I think and it was great. I got the salami with fennel and soft cheese. So good. Their bread is perfectly cooked. It’s a hard roll that isn’t too hard — like the ones that hurt your mouth. Not like that. Still soft on the inside but crunchy on the outside. Very good. Wish we had more time in Firenzé to eat here more and have a super easy and cheap lunch. We didn’t get wine cuz we were on the run but a glass is like 1.5 or something. So cheap. Hit it up. Your tastebuds and wallet will thank you.

After eating about 30 sandwiches here, I’m finally ready to review it. Of all the yummy sandwiches in Florence, this has to be my favorite. Between the bread, the simple ingredients, the price, and they SPEED in which they make the sandwiches, this place definitely deserves 5 stars. Don’t expect an over the top sandwich stuffed to the brim: each sandwich has 2 or 3 ingredients tops, but man are they good and fresh. I’ve watched these guys make a sandwich in 10 seconds flat… But if you’re in a rush don’t go around noon because you’ll be faced with a huge line! If you’re touring and only here for a little while though, wait anyway. Another thing I love about this place is the small glasses of wine you can order for € 1 or € 1.50. Great to sip with your sandwich on the side walk. My favorite thing to order is the mortadella e melanzane panino with a small glass of Lambrusco! Yum :)

Skimpy on the meat for € 4. Sandwich did taste good however. Other places near have better value.

This place was right by my apartment when I lived in Firenze, and I got lunch here almost everyday. Incredibly inexpensive for some incredible food! The owners are also incredibly friendly and consistently put up with my ill-accented Italian every day. The line can get really long but they are incredibly speedy. Obviously there is no seating, so it’s a great place to grab something and go. The sandwiches are easy to eat on the move.

We were just walking in the area and noticed All the reviews so we thought we’d give it a go. I had the first sandwich on the menu– ham and goat cheese, it was so good! The freshness of the buns is to die for and its so impressive that it’s just a hole in the wall– literally. My boyfriend has a vegetarian sandwich and he also liked it. For 3 euro you can’t go wrong but old even pay more for what we got!

its a must. its perfect. Its amazing. People who didn’t give this place 5 stars for taste have no idea what good food is, and probably missed putting ranch dressing and bacon on their subway sandwich.

Wow!!! The bread here is the best I’ve eaten in Italy! Fresh, warm, buttery, crispy, moist in the middle, PERFECT! And only $ 3 for a sandwich?!! The prosciutto and pecorino is AMAZING! Get the Grande cup of house wine for 3e, you won’t regret it, the white wine is sweet and floury, the red is smooth and has a great flavor depth!

Right balance between price/quality/waiting/service. It’s exactly what you aspect from that range of prices and it’s enough to go ahead with your day without be hungry. There are too many god damn disgusting and dirty pigeons but it’s not a business fault I guess… Anyway nothing special but a good compromise to have a cheap lunch and a glass of red wine without losing time with restaurants procedures. Go for it! Just remember it’s a low budget food point. Don’t be disappointed if at the end of your sandwich there is just… bread! ;)

Sandwiches that you just order from a menu that they give out while you are in the queue. They are fast and since there’s no eating in, they’ll put you on your way quite fast. Good quality

Okay, I feel bad giving I Due Fratelli only three stars, but I was a bit underwhelmed considering all the hype. After the initial bites and me going, «ooh, this is good,» I ended up thinking, «so this is it?» with more than half a sandwich to go. First of all, and maybe this is me being shy, but I initially wanted to ask the guys behind the counter for a recommendation I noticed from the people who ordered before me that they didn’t interact a ton with the customers. They did, though, produce a sandwich very quickly. When it was my turn, after studying the menu very carefully while in line I decided to order the #4, which had roast pork ham(and I am leaving out a comma for a reason that I will explain below) and parsley sauce. My first impression of the sandwich was how warm and crusty the roll was. I love me a good piece of bread, and I Due Fratelli has fantastic bread to compliment their sandwich fillings. I also have to say the parsley sauce is very tasty. Very herby with possibly a bit of raw garlic in there to give it a bit of a kick. As for the meat, I expected a slice of porchetta and a slice of ham. Bite after bite I kept thinking that maybe the pork was on the bottom of the sandwich since I clearly saw and tasted a piece of ham. Finally, I opened up my sandwich and alas, there was no other piece of meat to be eaten. Perhaps this altered my opinion of the sandwich too much, but after finding this out I merely finished my sandwich out of obligation. So yes, I 2 Fratelli is cheap, has fantastic bread, and the parsley sauce is very flavorful. But I’d rather shell out two more euro for a panini from another place that has way more meat and fillings. Sorry, Florence.

Fresh ingredients for a cheap price. I happened upon this place while randomly walking around one day. I noticed the long line and the sign saying 3 euros for a panini. It sounded too good to be true, but it wasn’t. The people there are more rushed to appease the long line, but you get a fresh, tasty sandwich in the end. They have around 20 some options and so far I’ve tried three. My favorite is the sausage and eggplant. It was strange at first because it seemed like the sausage wasn’t cooked, but it was. It seemed like grounded up salami. Since, I have ordered the salami and goat cheese as one sandwich and the bacon and peppers as the other. They each had unique aspects and we’re good with their own distinct tastes. The bread was so soft and thick each time I went here. I love how they drizzled the sandwich with oil(on the inside). The only thing is they don’t put a lot of meat on it, but what do you expect for 3 euros? I would still come back here if I’m looking for a cheap bite to eat.

First panino I had in Firenze was from this spot that was recommended to me by a friend who lived in the city for some time. I am in Florence doing a solo trip so def appreciated that this was one of those places where you grab your grub and go(or sit on the sidewalk and chow down like a mad woman). I was torn between ordered the ham and cheese one(#1 on the menu) or #28(can’t remember the name, something with truffle). Fortunately, the other american behind was having the exact same dilemma. So he suggested we each order one and split both, so that we’d try both flavors. GENIUS. And so we did. #28 was reallly good. then I tried #1 and thought«this is realllly realllly good». There’s something about simplicity done exquisitely that just makes you so darn happy. That was this. simple, good, quick, and best of all cheap.

Ok, it’s been about 4 years since I was there, but what a sandwich! Whichever one you choose, ask for some truffle sauce on top, it just adds another layer to an already phenomenal sandwich!

A perfect sandwich at 3 euros! Definitely stop by here and grab a snack/lunch to go while you wander the cobblestone streets and piazzas of Firenze. I got the #1 — prosciutto + goat cheese + arugula(they call it «wild lettuce» in the English menu) on a fresh, crusty roll. The simple combination was perfect. Nothing else to say except I wish we stopped here at least one more time during our stay!

One of my favorite sandwich spots in the world. Hole in the wall that’s quick and dirty and delicious. The prosciutto + rocket + mozzarella sandwich is fantastic. I don’t know what they do to it that makes it so fantastic, but it is. Order two. And a glass of the house red. Then lean against the opposite wall like a local and people watch. The line can be daunting, but stick with it. The good: fantastic, simple sandwiches. The bad: sometimes club promoters will try to hand you flyers while you wait in line, but that’s totally worth the experience.

Cheap, delicious sandwiches that’s perfect for a quick lunch or snack as you explore the streets of Florence. It’s a little bit hard to find this little gem, given that there’s a lot of small streets in this area, but look for people standing around with sandwiches or follow the pigeons that are always scouring for the bread crumbs ;) I got #1 with prosciutto, arugula, and goat cheese — so simple but incredibly tasty flavors. It’s amazing what a 3 ingredient sandwich can do to your taste buds! The bread is a little bit on the harder/tougher side, but I ended up giving away the extra, unfinished bread to the birds and they REALLY loved it. Fat pigeons are surprisingly entertaining, so consider this a quick meal and entertainment.

This is a local favorite as well as a fun place to get a sandwich(panino). I like the pochetta sandwich which is thin slices of roasted pork on a bread roll. They may offer to put bits of marinated eggplant and/or dried marinated tomatoes. Both are delicious. If you go there a few times you become a regular and they will be especially nice to you. Sit on a stool, get a beverage, watch the tiny mini bus squeeze by the stand and enjoy the day. This place is a lunch spot, a snack stop or a quick grab-and-go dinner place. This is a unique experience.
