There is a lot to love about this restaurant. Enter a quaint, cozy Tuscan restaurant filled with both locals and tourists. Food is tasty, prices are reasonable. Apparently this is THE place to come for the traditional«bistecca alla Fiorentina» or Florence-style steak. Be warned, it will cost you 60 for 2 people(…although 3 of us split it and STILL couldn’t finish it), and the creamy mushrooms the waitress will suggest to accompany it(which are BEYONDDELICIOUS) will cost extra. Overall our dinner(split 3 ways) went like this: Antipasti: –Gazpacho soup –Fried zucchini blossoms stuffed with cheese and anchovies Secondi: –Fisherman’s linguini(linguini with little clams in a delicious buttery, olive oil sauce) Entrée: –Bistecca alla fiorentina(be prepared for a LOT of steak) –creamy mushrooms + 1 bottle of still watter + coperta for 3(2 euro each) total: 96 euro Not bad price for the amount of food we received. We enjoyed everything. Can’t say any one dish particularly stood out as something super special, but everything was tasty. We would go back though, probably try some other things.

I used to live in this neighborhood 10 years ago, and can speak decent Italian. When the host /I’m assuming owner found out we were from CA she spoke only English to us. Which is fine, but I’ve noticed when English gets thrown into the mix travelers tend to get gypped more often than not. We wanted to only order the fried zucchini blossoms as appetizers and the host suggested to try«the sampler.» I like my friends, thought sampler as one dish of an assortment of appetizers. We asked if this was the case and she proceeded to describe the assortment. So we said okay and out came 6 dishes, not 1. I said to the host that this was not what we were expecting, that it was too much food. She simply laughed and waved away my comment. There was another misinterpretation involving the contorni(side dishes) that were almost forced upon us. Basically, the food really was delicious. We had the bistecca fiorentina(though with 6 females at the table we could have just shared one, but it was insisted that one dish was for two). it was A LOT of meat! The appetizers alone, 6 dishes, ended up costing us 60 euros. Good food, but the way we were being treated just left a bad taste in our mouth. At least we were able to take the leftovers to go without it being frowned upon, as it usually is. I would say go there because it’s delicious but be careful of the host and read the menu carefully.
