5 stars relative to other bars in Florence. Great place to find affordable great beer. Wide selection with many English, German, and Dutch beers as well as some craft beer from the States. Also has wine and liquor. No food. Best way to find it is to walk down Via de Dante Alligheri.

Grizzly Bear belong to the winther so do this place, rustic like an alp afterski joint. Ok selection of beer Sours Ipa and stout also some bottles, and friendly staff, place it is a little to dark and to macho men place for my taste but beer placer with good beer is not that common in florens. If you are intersted of beer try first Archea Brewery(10 min walk) then this place. Cheers

Fun bar with cheap drinks and loud music. You sit on stools around large wine barrels. There’s no wifi here and the flower sales people will walk in and try to get you to buy stuff.

The owner and the bartender Lorenzo are awesome! They treated us very well and we went back twice during our stay! They had jazz band one night and then played laid back r&b style music afterwards! It’s very«hipster» and laid back! The beer selections are great and so are the prices! Hubby and I enjoyed ourselves really well for under $ 50 euros, but we drink a lot! Ha ha! There’s no other place like this around! Also, check out their cool clothing! Very cool shirts and sweaters! We bought 4! Rockin’ them back in the U.S.

Need a beer fix, this is the spot. The selection is really good, service is friendly, atmosphere is good, and the music is awesome. Been twice so far this week, love the IPA’s. This would be my spot if I lived here. This reminds me of my favorite pub in San Francisco.

King grizzly is a great place to kick back, relax and grab a pint. Let me tell you, it’s a tougher place to find because there isn’t a sign. But if you look for a white building with wooden doors and a few people drinking outside and listen for reggae music, you’re sure to find it! A friend and I sat down and ordered a beer from the awesome Belgian brewery, lupulus. Although I’m forgetting the name of the exact brew, it was awesome. The environment is stellar too: the owner was djing and playing some great reggae, which made for a really relaxing, fun time!

Living in Cairo doesn’t afford many opportunities for craft beer excursions, so I jumped at the chance to go to King Grizzly.

Very nice far for craft beers. No sign on the building so little hard-to-find. Rustic décor with old wine barrels as your table. Price medium. Knowledgeable bar guy

Great place to avoid name brand beers, nice selection of craft beers. Barrels for tables, nice rustic décor. A fair number of beers on draught. They are changing the selection of bottle beers so check back in a few days. Beers from all over.

If you want a break from wine, go to King Grizzly. One of the best places in Florence for craft brews. You’ll get the typical northern beers you can buy elsewhere, but King Grizzly also sells Italian craft beer too. The atmosphere is really interesting. This pub is decorated like any Irish pub, but while we were there they mostly played reggae music. You wouldn’t think it works, but it does. A definite must see for any beer lover visiting Florence.

Craft beer in Florence! SCORE! My husband and I are beer enthusiasts and as much as we love wine, we were super happy to stumble upon this gem. Great pub atmosphere, great music and wide selection of bottles and taps. They dunk your mug in water before serving it and pour the tap perfectly. So used to the messy pours and wasted beer in the states, not here. LOL

The best pub in Florence. Friendly staff will let you sample before buying. A wonderful selection of craft brews. Don’t go here looking for name brands. Try those on tap. They are always good. They also have a large selection of bottled beer(craft). Great music and wonderful location

Love love love! Perfect for a well priced craft beer in a very«chill» place. There is no sign outside marking the bar(thank you!) but if you should mosey past and take a chance by walking in, you’ll fall in love too. They are very skilled to recommend based on your taste, but will also let you try a sample to help make up your mind. I you don’t fancy any of the draught beers, there is a wall covered in bottled beer choices. Cheers!

Strolled in as strangers, left as friends. I’m always a bit hesitant to try out the«craft beer» scene overseas but this place would fit right in back The States. A nice selection of a few local craft beers as well as some staples from the US. The imperial Pils and their version of IPA were especially good. Don’t hesitate to pop in here for a brew or two. This is my favorite place to go to for a GOOD beer in Florence. The owner, Alessandro, really knows his stuff and hand picked all the beers they have on tap. I’m from Los Angeles and am used to having a good selection available and a nice local bar to go to. This place is small, but when I get a craving for a good beer and a casual, no wild college kids environment, I think of King Grizzlies. Actually– a lot of people don’t know about this place yet, so go check it out! The bartenders all play whatever music they like depending on who it is– you’ll hear different stuff. I’ve heard blues, jazz, old school hip hop, reggae, alt. rock, etc. If I owned a bar, it would be a lot like this place :)

I don’t often kill my brain cells but i will gladly destroy my neurons in this place. Again. Alessandro, the owner, is a a true beer savant(and a DJ! We loved the music). The way he pours the beer into the glass, clears the foam off, and dips the glass so its all nice and perfect for you. Such a pro. You can even taste a sample of the different craft brews if you are indecisive or your palate is feeling a little picky(aren’t we all sometimes). Their selection of artisan beers is not overwhelming, there is a little bit of everything, and Ale will tell you what is good for you if you tell him what you like. They have my precious Cider! Don’t judge me. There is no sign outside, easy to miss but worth looking for. It’s not a huge place but it’s very open inside. There is a small patio with a couple tables outside. I’m finally growing up and sometimes i wanna hang out and actually have a conversation and hear each other without having to yell out loud, ha! This is the place. The atmosphere is great, lots of locals and very friendly place! Plus happy hour from 7pm-9:30pm, errday. AND a kabob and pizza place next door open til late if you get the munchies. Srlsy.
