The place is very cool, designed with an industrial and vintage style, the food is good but absolutely overpriced

Probably one of the coolest spots I’ve been to in Florence. The fresh flowers and the entire décor made me just happy to be there! I got a very good sandwich and the detox smoothie was awesome! Completely different from all the other restaurants in Florence and I can’t wait to go back!

Stopped here for cocktails, candlelit due to a power outage but what a charming spot! Hipsters will love it. Trendy, friendly staff and excellent Spritz Venetziano!

This place is gorgeous. I have never been so impressed with the interior before. I took a lot of pictures but it does not capture the true beauty of this joint. Two levels of constant starring. I came here for a couch surfing event and I must say, the event planner in Florence is spot on for great finds. On the lower level, there is a live band until midnight. I ordered the veggie burger and it was pricey. It was a tiny slider. The burger wasn’t really a burger either — it was a blob of mushed lentils in a sliced white bread that was drowned in curry. It was a salty dish. I can’t say I would come here for food but maybe the real dining food upstairs is better. I highly recommend coming here on a Friday night for the music though.

Omg the food here is to die for, we came in a group of 4 and tried about 5 dishes, everything was exemplary. Definitely a must when you are visiting Firenze !!!

The Ham and Cheese Omelette looked amazing… the melted cheese oozing out the side and the ham visible. The Omelette had a crisp to it and it was folded over on a bed of fresh arugula, yum! At least, that’s what the table next to us had… and mine probably would have looked the same had it ever come to our table. But it didn’t. And now I’m still hungry. Awkward. The gentleman next to us got his pancakes within 5 minutes of ordering and he was there 25 minutes after us. It took a total of 45 minutes to get my hubby’s two pancakes with fruit and syrup on top. Admittedly, they were delicious. I know this because my hubby was nice enough to share his with me. There was no flagging down the waiter to see what the status was on our omelette, nor did I even want it at that point. We went to the counter to get the check and high-tail it out of there. The decorations are pretty, so that’s cool. Caffe Late was meh. Hubby’s juice was very fresh, so that’s cool also.

The decoration of this restaurant is pretty impressing. However, the food is hard to describe. I order the cow tongue. it was super salty, the cuttlefish spaghetti is not good at all. But the salmon was nice.

Gorgeous gorgeous gorgeous gorgeous gorgeous. I could stay in this place forever. Yeah, it’s a little expensive. The atmosphere more than makes up for the price. The small tapas I had were amazing and my friend said her coffee was the best she’d had in Italy. I will definitely return to this place.

My favorite café in Firenze. Love the raw, stylish interior design, reminds me of West Coast /San Francisco. Casual and hipster vibe, people using Apple laptops. Great coffee and pastries, cocktails are very good too. Good to hang out for awhile when you are tired of walking.

Great ambiance! The esthetic of the restaurant was amazing. It felt like we were in soho but with the classic charm of Florence. The meal was great but the only disappointment was the polenta. It lacked flavor and felt almost like cream of wheat.

3.5 stars rounded to 4. Hip neighborhood spot like something you would find in LA or NY. We passed by on our way to get gelato one night and it looked so cute from the outside, we planned to come back for breakfast the next day. My husband ordered the shakerato, a macchiato, and a corneto. I ordered the continental breakfast which included yogurt, a pancake, eggs and bacon breakfast, coffee and fresh OJ. My husband loved everything we ordered, but we both thought my continental breakfast was small and nothing special(especially for 22 euros). Tip: The free wifi is very fast! In the morning, we tested the speed on our phones to be 60 Mbps and I saw a few people with laptops come in to do some work/study. I would definitely recommend stopping by if you’re in the area and looking for something different. I wish we had more time or else we would’ve visited again for dinner.

more atmosphere than food? the restaurant is nice, the shop is awfully expensive, the food is so so, the coffee is good, the service is friendly and well working. too many tables to have more tasty and plentiful food? may be the chef needs some time more to prepare the crew, it’s not a long time la menagere is open… i’ll try again… at the moment i consider it better for breakfast or a coffee&cake…

Slightly overpriced and overzealous food descriptions on menu didn’t deliver. Dishes weren’t harmonious and some lacked flavor like the mussel pasta. The only thing I enjoyed was the boiled octopus appetizer and my aperol spritz. The service was also really slow. I think it’s better to come here for drinks or coffee and a dessert.

I went with my boyfriend in mid june 2015 — I believe they had just opened at the time and maybe they still needed to get adjusted? I don’t know, it was all very disappointing. This place has great potential: location is beautiful but customer service and food are just not enough. We ordered drinks and tapas first at their bistro. I had a mojito in a jar and my boyfriend had a glass of wine with their octopus and cheese tapas. 2 tapas and 2 drinks costed 25 euros though… Then we moved to the restaurant, where we both had two«primi». We waited 40 minutes for them to be served at our table(not kidding). In the mean time I kindly told the waiter that if they didn’t bring the primi in the next 10 minutes, we would have left. He seemed very annoyed by my request and even snorted. The primi finally came. Taste was nothing special, presentation was nice. Portions were small, my boyfriend went to eat pizza after because he was still hungry. When we went to the cashier to pay, we realized they only charged us for the dinner — they didn’t put on the bill what we had at the bistro. So we had to remind them; it looked very unprofessional and disorganized to us. For what we paid we expected something more… I wouldn’t go to La Menagere again.

Based on drinks and décor: Best old fashions I had in Europe. Nice attention to detail. Great vibes and some live jazz no cover. Didn’t try the food but everything else was so spot on. We came here twice.

My husband and I first came here for dinner and enjoyed it. It is more expensive than a neighbourhood Trattoria but the inside is beautiful and the food was good. Cocktails were good and plenty of options to choose from. We shared the Salmon salad to start: salmon was flavourful and cooked to perfection. That was my favourite dish. We also got a pasta and beef dish – beef was delicious. Overall, the food has a fancier feeling to it but is not so pretentious that it is unapproachable. We were in the area for breakfast the next day. Ordered a smoothie(came nice and cold) and a double espresso(great coffee) and a Croque Madam. Service was slower in the morning than in the evening but still friendly. For seating there is a great variety. From a long wooden table to smaller tables, to comfy couches and chairs. Would return.

My favorite place in Florence! I’ve sat and just had cappuccinos and I’ve sat through a whole rainy afternoon with lunch and wine… and they never rush you(even though I was only one sitting at a larger table). Beautiful open space with a florist in the back. Can’t wait to return.

I stumbled upon this place when I was exploring the neighborhood around Mercato Centrale. Definitely one of the most beautiful restaurants/cocktail bars I have seen… it has a gift shop, florist, resto, and bar in one. I decided to pop in for a cocktail. It was the perfect break… the service was excellent, has free wifi, and the whiskey sour I had was delicious. I wanted another but I had my eye… or taste buds set on the florentine steak at Za Za(a couple mins walk away). I would definitely come back the next time I am in Florence and would recommend.

I have to agree with other Italian reviewers who are critical of this new locale. It’s absolutely GORGEOUS and the place to be, and the service I found quite good(though they really can’t take a joke), but the food is just not up to the level of the décor. If there were half stars this’d be 3.5 not 3, but i just can’t give it 4, sorry. We went first for drinks and tapas, which WAS very good — i loved the small tapas portion of octopus on potato for about 4 euro to go with my drink. However, 3 tapas and 4 drinks, of which one was not alcoholic, did cost 39 euros… Well, par for the course in some cool spots in Florence, and the location seems worth it. Spurred by the drink success, we booked dinner for 4 people plus a child for the following week. Service was indeed good, we had a nice table(that I chose specifically) and they were very good with dealing with my food allergies and making sure that the ingredients were safe for me. They were also good with the child, bringing her a simple pasta right away. The table itself is really attractive, as was the view, but the wooden chairs are hard and have backs that are too low, so i ended up with pain in the legs and hips after a few hours. Food. Our group chose either a primo or an appetizer, and a secondo, plus dessert and wine. They did a good job bringing them at the right times, pretty much. The presentation is nice for the apetizers but the primi looked nothing special. Apparently they didn’t taste particularly special either. I ordered some of the things they do better — octopus or other fish or meat are well displayed and well cooked. But some of the displays seemed to be the whim of the cooking school graduates in the kitchen, and some of the errors they made seemed in line with those I noted recently at Le Muse, the space they had recently vacated. For example, flavours not properly blended, and things on the same plate served at 3 different temperatures. Like the reviewer Sophie B., the food was not BAD, but it wasn’t worth raving about. It was just MEH. I wouldn’t go out of my way to go back and pay for it. Numerous people have also complained that the portions are too small — one reviewer, vincenzo, says his group went for pizza afterwards! I found myself walking out not too full, and I tend to feel full after very little, which means that the food is plenty light, but surely not enough for a normal person, especially a man!

Went on a whim with a large group. The service is good and the meals come at the chefs pace and discretion. Like many Italian restaurants, this is not the place to go if you’re in a hurry. We had the Cod, pork, and macaroni for main courses and finished with tiramisu and sorbet. The food was excellent and their craft beer was good. I can’t imagine why this restaurant was at three stars when I looked it up. I would rate it a solid 4 – 4.5. Manga!

I really wanted to like this brand new restaurant. The ambiance is amazing and the space is beautiful. But at the end of the day, I have to judge the food and the service. The food was beautifully presented but it truly felt like they spent so much time working on the presentation that they forgot to taste it. It’s not bad, it’s just not up to the price or the location. The service again, has much to improve upon. While the waiters are well intentioned everything took so so long to arrive at the table. We got the water after our first course and the 2nd round of wine arrived after the main dish. We had to cancel, we couldn’t wait anymore. Overall, the place is amazing and beautiful. I recommend that everyone stops by — but the restaurant portion of the space is not ready yet. I’m sure it will become awesome though. Just not yet.
