I studied abroad in Florence and would go to the News Café every Tuesday. Marco, the owner is a great guy who takes the best care of each and every customer. In Italy, I was looking for a very local experience where I felt at home in certain places. I certainly got that experience at the News Café. The cappuccinos were made and beautiful pictures were ‘drawn’ into the foam, creating an incredibly memorable experience. Hands down, one of my favorite places in Florence. Every single time I know of someone going to Florence, I tell them they must go to the News Café — and they have yet to be disappointed.

Gotta love News Café. It’s the perfect place to study and do homework or just to hangout with friends. The atmosphere is nice and the drinks are great. The staff wasn’t the friendliest but it was fine. The wifi is strong and that’s really all that matters.

I am studying abroad in Florence for the semester and I come to News Café at least 3 times a week. They are incredible here! So friendly and amazing prices. They draw beautiful designs on their drinks and will even take requests! Once, I spilled my drink everywhere and they graciously helped me clean it up and brought me a new one free of charge. They’re absolutely amazing here and I would recommend them to everyone!

Best coffee in all of Florence! I tried many cafes throughout Florence while I lived there and nothing beat News café. Their staff is friendly and make the best cappuccino art! Also, the aperetivo(Italian happy hour) is amazing there! You just order you drinks at regular price(€ 7 for cocktails) and you can get unlimited small appetizers from the bar PLUS they bring you a plate of your own personal appetizers to your table! Hands down best café in Florence, I would go at least 4 times a week for my morning coffee and pastry!

Was taken here by a friend studying abroad in Florence and it did not disappoint! The coffee was amazing. The service was a bit slow, but there were 7 of us so that was okay. We all got pastries or sandwiches as well. I got a mozzarella, tomato, and basil sandwich. It as a bit soggy as it was later in the morning but overall a good experience. The inside of the restaurant is adorable with very cute coffee décor! This is a must if you are craving a coffee fix. Tip: they don’t accept credit cards so make sure you have cash on you to get some tasty treats!

Made it a habit to stop here before class with friends every morning for lattes and sweets for breakfast! Made our Italy experience wonderful, we enjoyed people watching and the staff here! Marco was the sweetest! «Bamblinos» were my favorite with a café latte of course!
