Found this place on a whim while looking for a café to try some of Italy’s coffee. When I saw the pink colorful décor(reminds me of Victoria Secret) and the macrons lined up, I couldn’t resist. If you have some time for a little break, come in and have some yummy treats! What I got: Pistachio macaron– to die for! –The texture of this was nice and soft with a chewy thick filling kind of like caramel, but not as chewy, a nice in between. The flavor was exactly what a pistachio should taste like and was delicious. A shot of expresso — a little sour tasting so I added some cream and sugar. Price: less than 2 Euros for a macaron, I can’t complain.

World champion ice cream maker since 2006. This guy has been around for a while and he’s making it in Italy but all I knew was that there was chocolate there. And macarons. And gelati. So of course I ventured inside this hot pink store to discover all of the above. So far I’ve noticed that Italian macarons(marcal) aren’t as good as their French counterparts and even the ones I buy from my current hometown have surpassed these. The chocolate one was the best one I had(soft but still chewy and chocolate is usually the best flavor in a macaron if there is any question). The other flavors were just ok and in order of deliciousness: extra virgin olive oil, cappuccino, exotic, blueberry. I also purchased some gelati. The caramel+hazelnut combination is good and the peach/passion fruit medley is also good. It’s not the best ice cream ever as they claim but good flavor combinations. The chocolate is the best part of this excursion so far. It’s a cute colorful Bön Bön with good flavors and a nice smooth finish. I’d just buy chocolate here from now on. Prices aren’t too bad for a speciality candy store. I’ve definitely paid worse!
