If I ever go back to Florence, I’m definitely staying here! Pros: Affordable, delicious breakfast, adorable and LOCATIONLOCATIONLOCATION Cons: Stairs… seriously, that’s all I can think of… All the touristy spots are well within a 20 minute walk.

This is my kind of hotel. It’s adorable and comfortable, and located right in the middle of Florence. Don’t stay here if you’re too far out of shape… there are quite a few stairs. There’s a sizable flight to get up to the first floor, where you can get an elevator to the upper floors(or, just take the stairs). If you press a button at the front door, they’ll send someone to get your bags so you don’t have to drag them up yourself. I love the décor… it’s colorful, eclectic, and fun. Really darling. Our room on the third floor had a great view, with doors that opened to the outside(just a railing, no balcony); it was so nice to open them and get fresh air and be able to hear everything happening in the streets below. A couple times was a bit loud(guests in the hallways, motorcycles outside), but I’m guessing that’s part and parcel of staying in downtown Florence. The minibar has a decent selection, and the prices are surprisingly reasonable. The bathrooms aren’t too roomy, but they’re nice. Just watch out for the hair dryer – it’ll shut off after a few minutes on high, and you’ll have to wait several minutes for it to cool down. I didn’t have a problem when I used it on the low setting. The hotel offers a free breakfast from nine to noon. There’s a nice buffet and a breakfast room, or you can pay € 5 to have it delivered to your room. When you step out of the hotel, you’re right in the middle of the Rodeo Drive/Fifth Avenue of Florence, and a quick walk from the Duomo, Uffizi, and more. According to a plaque on the outside of the building, George Eliot stayed there while she was writing Romola – a historical novel set in 15th century Florence.

Ahhh the trip to Italy that made me realize how great the other side of the world can be. Roommate Isabella was a sight for sore eyes after a long day of travel. But the facilities are fantastic. Decorated perfectly, it suits the traveler who is coming through to enjoy the wonderful city that is Florence. We were treated to top notch service from the moment we walked into there. You are not allowed to touch your bags, they have people that will make sure that you don’t struggle with that.(The hotel starts on the 3rd floor, so they do what they can to take care of you) The continental breakfast in the morning was fantastic. I still have not been able to find any type of bread that was like what we had in the mornings that was so delicious. I think that has to go for most of the country of Italy… they know a thing or two about their food. Fantastic! Our stay here was only for one night while visiting the beautiful town of Florance… and they were more than willing to help us whenever we needed help. Very helpful indeed.

I love this hotel! We got the last room in the hotel one night, thank god! and affordable for Firenze. The staff was the most friendly on our whole Italian getaway. Gay friendly, great breakfast buffet and eggs made you way if you ask! great toiletries with very cool packaging. Super clean. Easy to walk everywhere and yet not as crazy as city central…

This has been a fantastic stay so far. The reception was very friendly. The location is great. Walking distance to everything. The wifi has been strong which has not been the case with my stays in Italy. Although parking is pricey it seems to be the case in Florence. The breakfast is fair with all of the same offerings that a quality hotel in Italy should have. The service is great and you can order made fresh eggs your style as well as an amazing cappuccino. The rooms are large and decorated well. The bathroom allows more than one person in them and that is definitely a big plus since bathrooms and hotel rooms tend to be on a very small side. I would stay here again on my next stay.
