They have two locations. I went to the one on the Via Guicciardini, between the Palazzo Pitti and the Ponte Vecchio. Along this overpriced and unreliable strip, Sezione Aurea stands out as having original and attractive jewelry at very reasonable prices. They have glass beads of various shapes and colors made especially for them in Murano and they assemble them into earrings, bracelets, and necklaces, adding other materials(onyx, Swarovski crystal) on some pieces. The prices range from about ten up to several hundred Euros. We ended up buying necklaces for our nieces(which is what we were shopping for), and though we haven’t given them yet, I feel we were lucky to find Sezione Aurea. What they have is much nicer than what we saw in our price range in several other shops.

Artisan jewelry is very simple but elegant. Considering that it is surrounded by gold jewelers this is a great alternative to buying a custom piece jewelry at reasonable prices. Bought three pieces of jewelry(two earrings and a necklace) which were originally to be gifts but I really like them enough that I may keep them for me as souvenirs to Florence, Italy.

Amazing designs and wonderful bilingual artists make this boutique a «must see» on your next trip to Florence. Both locations are convenient and dazzling, price range allows for a varying budget. The craftsmanship is the best I’ve seen, especially the unique Merano glass beads and easy fasteners.
