This place is amazing. It’s a small little shop near the School of Leather, and the owner Alex is just awesome. They know their product and what is available in the other markets around Florence, and they stand by their work. Initially, I was thrown off by the owner’s demeanor, but what I mistook as arrogance was the quiet confidence of an experience tradesman. He even has a «knock-​off» leather jacket in his store that is made in China so you can see the difference in workmanship and feel the way his leather is treated; everything just feels better and more solidly constructed. Suffice it to say, he won me over (he even sent me away and told me to look around and find a better deal — after a day and a half of wandering, I ended up going back to his shop to buy a jacket just before I left to go back to CA).
I was there buying a gift jacket for a friend at home, but if I ever want to buy a leather jacket or get one for my wife, he is the only one I will contact.

Like so many other newbie tourists to the Florence area, I didn’t know where to turn. After doing a bit of research through my local experts, I was sent here. I was overwhelmed by the craftsmanship and quality of the leather coats, but most importantly, the Owner. He immediately assessed my body (eeks), and directed me to which would look best. His choices were exactly what I knew would be best. I could go on and on… I ended up with the highest quality CUSTOM made coat, a once-​in-​a-​lifetime opportunity, at a VERY reasonable cost. I am ecstatic, and would HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend this shop. They ship to the USA, therefore avoiding the costly VAT taxes too.

Just received four custom made leather jackets I purchased for my family this summer on a visit to florence. Alexandro was wonderful to work with. He was patient and honest. The prices are far better than what you can get in a department store or fancier shop on a major street.
