considering how difficult it is to get standard groceries as we expect in the states when we are in Italy, this place was a complete godsend. This place is reasonably priced and has a good selection and should be in every Italian city.

Thank goodness for this little supermarket in the Centro Storico!
They have fresh produce (fruits and vegetables). There is a deli with cheeses, meats, prepared foods to pick up and bring home.
There are sections for wines, juices, other beverages. All the fixings for a meal. Even cleaning products to keep your home clean and tidy.
I dash in for beverages, biscotti, fruit, water, everything you might need in a pinch.
Love Meta and appreciate the ease of shopping here… open until 21:30 in the evening!

Petit supermarché caché entre palazzo veccio et duomo avec des prix plutôt abordable pour cette ville bien chère. Ce qui est cool: vous prenez un ticket pour la charcuterie comme en France et le super personnel peut vous préparez le sandwich de votre choix avec tout ce que vous voyez devant vous.
Je dis super personnel car même si nous maîtrisons que très peu l’italien ils sont très patient et né vous prennent pas de haut comme certains magasins dans cette ville ultra touristique.
Hide near o vesuvio not very expensive little supermarket for the heart of firenze. You can take a ticket and ask all you want in your sandwich at the very «cool» team of employee.
It’s like «subway» but with really fresh Italian Ham, cheese, cream etc etc.
Only one pb not a lot of choice for all other you will need for house, body and little furniture if you want to live like a firenze guy.

Nothing out of this world, but a clean, organized, well stocked city supermarket with good prices. A couple of things here are lightly pricier than outside the city but honestly, considering the location is almost dead center this place is one of the cheapest around — unlike Despar in San Lorenzo.
Their products are reasonably priced maybe because this store doesn’t get a lot of foot traffic (it’s not in a main street), or because they’re just cool people — either way, Meta is not huge but it has everything you need including fresh meats, veggies, fruit and fresh bread!
I am a fan indeed!
