The Joshua Tree Pub

My friend Uchi and I had such a fantastic time at Paolo’s bar last night. We’re from jersey/​New York and, as many reviews have stated, he really made us feel welcome and at home. The bar is the perfect size, allowing the chance to interact with locals if you so desire (which is definitely what we wanted!). They have the typical long bar at the front, where you can put your coat down on the hooks beneath the bar or tables where you can sit and relax. There is also a foosball table which sees some pretty heated games.
When we first got there, we didn’t know exactly what we wanted to drink, so we asked Paolo for something Gin-​based. He made us a white lady, which was delicious. The night continued on and Paolo entertained us with drinking proverbs and stories about where’s he has been and people he has met. We even had the chance to meet Laura, his girlfriend and Giuseppe, a wonderful a new friend! It’s obvious that there are regulars and it’s so nice to see such a cute close knit friendship among everyone. When we were leaving, they all gave us great big hugs and asked us what we were doing tomorrow. Of course, we replied that we’d be back for more drinks tonight ;)
The atmosphere was perfect and drinks at great price — 4 drinks, 2 shots at 27 euros. This is exactly what we expected Florence to be like and we’re so happy to have experienced it with such great people :) See you all soon! Ciao!

Amazing bar in Firenze! There on vacations and even on a weekday was great! Thank You Paolo you are great!

This place can’t be more inviting for a lost wayward traveler… Simon is more hospitable than most. I stumbled in from NY on vacation, the 80s retro music unexpected and very cool. Came in with my lady and some new friends were treated like regulars, there is not a price for that… Nice beer selection if I could add something… Rumor has it… Theres some American IPA’s on there way.

Cheap drinks, friendly bartenders.
Never has a mojito been made with such love.
They get excited about tequila boom booms. Still no idea what that is. It sounds great. You should try one.

We are students atudying abroad in Florence from America. We love this bar! The bar tenders are very friendly! Very Fun time!

My sister and I went to Joshua Tree after reading good reviews on Trip Advisor. We wanted a place where locals went, and we found it! We had some well priced drinks and chips, and made friends with 2 Italian students seated next to us. There were some American study abroad students as well. The bar staff was very nice — recommended some good Italian beer — and seemed to be friendly with all of the patrons.
