We had a lunch at Toto. My wife ordered caprese salad and minestrone soup, I had a garden salad and quattro fromaggio pizza. In a nutshell, both salads were uninspired. Perhaps this was due t it being October, but other restaurants have not had problems securing tasty tomatoes this time of year. On the other hand, both the soup and the pizza were great. My pizza had just the right note of sourness from the Gorgonzola setting off the flavors of the other cheeses. The Minestrone soup was very good with a fine Spinach overtone. Service was ok. There was a missed communication between the server and the cook regarding my pizza, but they recovered nicely after playing Pizza Pizza, who’s got the pizza? For a few minutes. Would I return? Probably, but I would skip the salads.
