Went for the steak Floentine style, which was cooked to perfection and seasoned just as well. The torta Della Nona was a delicious surprise. Tour director referred us here. Got in before the restaurant opened but they let us in. We were treated to appetizers and watched Italy in World Cup soccer with the staff. Quite an authentic Italian experience.

Semi-​formal restaurant where one should probably dress nicely and leave the sneakers and jeans at the hotel. Menu is entirely in Italian. Wait staff was a bit impatient at first, but then warmed up to us as we proceeded through the courses. We requested an assorted plate sampling each of their antipasti (prosciutto, salume, bruschetta, crostini) that was delicious! Grilled chicken, risotto porcini, arugula salad, grilled vegetables and veal chops were all very nicely and promptly prepared. The white wine from San Gimignano was so good, we went through 2 bottles.
