4.5 Had a chance to try TPSL the other night for dinner for our pizza fix on our Italy trip. This place is your no frills, local Italian restaurant. What’s great about this place is the lack of touristy-traffic. Everyone in the dining room with us seemed like regulars. Those staying at AC hotel, this place is walking distance! The servers at TPSL were really nice to us. They have given us both English and Italian menus and were happy with every Italian word that we knew knowledge of and corrected us when applicable. The menu was overall direct. Pasta dishes, drinks, pizza, dessert. Since we had our minds set on pizza, you had the option of either Alte(thick) or Basse(thin) crust with over 15 different varieties. We had chosen the traditional Margherita(Buffalo) and the Quatro(ham, mushroom, artichokes, olives). It was recommend to us that we both get thick crust, but since this was our first time eating Italian pizza, we did the Margherita on a thin, the Quatro on a thick. Both were equally delicious. The thin crust was super thin and perfect. The thick crust was just heavenly. On the table the server had dropped off EVOO infused with red pepper flakes. A real nice touch of heat, although I will say I’m usually a pizza blotter back in America. EVOO on my pizza was a little out of my comfort health-conscious zone, but I did it anyway! lol SERVICE — 4.0 FOOD — 4.25 VALUE — 5.0

Pizza is «OK», but I had better once in Italy(Tuscany) for even less! Can I recommend it? Maybe if there is nothing around. Ordered a King Kong and Quadro Formaggio. I was surprised paying 3 € for a canned coke and not even getting served the coke into my glass in a restaurant. Service and Staff was very nice and great.

Went there with the family on our Europe vacation. The food was great, so was the service. Very accommodating to Americans. English menu is available.

Great food, friendly witty staff and want to go back for the pizza now. I had the spaghetti with clams and would rate it 10 out of 10, I used bread to suck up the sauce. Well done to the team. This is how your local should be…

We had read great reviews so we tried it. We ended up eating there all three nights in Florence. The food is AMAZING! The ambiance feels authentic, full of locals by 9 o’clock. We had the tortellini, rigatoni, carbonara pastas and all were excellent. Santa Lucia was our favorite pizza– flavors are mild but excellent and you can ask for the«hot oil» which adds heat but only accentuates the flavors! We became good friends with the waiters and really felt at home. Eat here! You won’t regret it!

Great service, wine, pizza and pasta! This was by far one of our favourite restaurants in Florence. This is the second time I’ve stayed in this neighbourhood — the first time was by myself and I am kicking myself for not venturing out more and finding this gem! My boyfriend and I visited twice — the pizza was delicious and fresh. We really enjoyed the pesto pasta so much that we had to come back for more. And we found a new favourite wine — Peppoli, which we liked so much that we bought a bottle to bring home. And I even found it online to give as gifts to friends and family! The servers were very friendly and were able to clarify some of the dishes in English for us. My Italian is not great so that is always appreciated!

The best pizza in Florence: you can choose if you prefer alta like the real Napoli Pizza or bassa. Mozzarella di bufala is great so I reccomend Margherita con Bufala Alta. Also the dessert are great and are typical from south Italy: cassata, baba’, pastiera. Very friendly service.

We are in florence for three days. We have been here two and eaten here both nights. Let me start by saying how wonderful the staff is! They let us practice our extremely iffy italian, while answering us in English. To me this is a plus bc they don’t have too, but you can tell they enjoy their job. The wine selection is fantastic. We had the male waiter– only one I’ve seen there and he recommended a wonderful white to us the first night and a delicious red the second. We were far from disappointed. As for the food– holy moly! Absolutely delicious. The first night I had the Santa Lucia pizza(ham and ricotta) — thin crust– and my boyfriend had the prosciutto and funghi– thicker crust. We were not let down. The second night I had the mozzarella carrozza and the pasta with seafood. There was clams, mussels and squid/octopus. But a huge portion and not just of the pasta, but the seafood as well. My boyfriend had the spicy salami pizza(italian version of pepperoni) and he enjoyed every second of it! We will be going here our third and final night as well! The only complaint I have seen– and it was on trip advisor– was the cover. It is € 2 a person. Please remember this is standard in Italy and 90% of places charge it! Please prepare yourself but remember the price on the menu is the price on the bill. So I like to think of the € 2 a person as tax! :)

As a person that’s always looking for the best pizza, I have to say this friendly restaurant has the best I have ever tasted. Try the 4 cheese and then drizzle it with a spicy olive oil they have. It’s a bit out of the way but well worth it.

Aloha from Hawaii, Santa Lucia’s! Went to Firenze in October 2011 and stayed at Best Western down the street from this lovely restaurant. We got in a little late so we walked around the neighborhood and found this place packed with locals, so we knew it had to be good; which it was! We stayed in Firenze for 4 nights and all 4 nights, we ate dinner at Santa Lucia’s! The staff was great, very helpful and welcoming. They greeted us every night and even saved a table(without our request, how sweet) the last night we were there. The food was amazing! Massive Tbone steak with parmesan and arugula. outstanding! The antipasto was delish!(See the picture) House wine was good too and their gnocchi sorrentino was out of this world! n Italy alone, we had alot of stares but here we felt very welcomed. I highly recommend Santa Lucia’s! Great food, great service and a great time. I would definitely go again the next time we are in town.

Santa Lucia Trattoria and Pizzeria on Via Ponte alle Mosse is highly recommended! Our server was awesome, giving us recommendations and helping us read the English-free menu. We split a prosciutto pizza and gnocchi with tomato and mozzarella sauce. We ordered broccoli saltini as a side and were rewarded with a spinach — like vegetable cooked in garlic and olive oil. The Tuscan bread(no salt!) went perfectly with our dishes and we shared(though Lin drank more) a half bottle of red wine. For dessert, we asked what the waiter recommended, and he brought us two! One was a cassata from Sicily(made with ricotta, chocolate chips, honey, and candied fruit) and the other was a pastiera, originating in Naples(made of ricotta, eggs, and wheat). We went here 2 nights later, that’s how good it was! And the 2nd night, we ordered the rigatoni al ragu and the troglie al pesto(AMAZING). As a thank you for our loyalty, we got free limoncello shots, too!
