We had a reservation at 7:00pm and the restaurant only had one other seated table. By the time we finished 3.5 hours later, it never became busy. The food here was not great. My husband and I both had the tasting menu and neither of us were very satisfied with it. Though, the ambiance, décor, and wait staff/somm were fantastic! The somm went out of his way to make our experience memorable! For a Michelin rated restaurant, I expected more from the food. My husband and I also ordered 3 wines that the somm selected. We enjoyed his selection, his personality and his attentiveness! However, due to the food, I would pass this up in favor of Enoteca Pitti or La Giostra even though they have no Michelin stars.

We have eaten in many Michelin restaurants in the U.S. and Italy, and Winter Garden was truly outstanding. The service was excellent. Valeria was gracious, knew and explained the dishes well, and made our evening very enjoyable. Danilo was helpful on the somm side, had a great sense of humor and chatted us up about some of their wines. They were very attentive and you could tell that everyone there cared very much about the experience you were having on all levels. Even the process for mixing my salad dressing at the table was elegant and elaborate. The place has a wow-factor when you walk in. Tall ceilings, gorgeously decorated, live piano player on a grand in the corner playing mostly standard numbers(loud enough to hear and enjoy, not too loud to prohibit conversations). Finally, the food was exquisite. We enjoyed every single dish. Each tasted fresh, complex, creative and delicious. The timing was perfect between courses as well. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone wanting an unforgettable meal in Florence.

This is a 1 Michelin star restaurant, Tasting menu is fairly inexpensive 95 euros. Ambiance is nice and quite elegant as you would expect for a restaurant in the St. Regis. Wait staff is very attentive and speaks English very well. Sommelier Danilo was fantastic and paired my meal with a great glass of wine that paired perfectly with all the courses. Well except for dessert since my wine was all gone by then. They were able to customize my main entrée in their tasting menu. Instead of fish I requested for lamb and the staff gladly obliged. Newly Michelin star awarded Chef Michele Griglio came out to greet us. I regret not taking a photo but hopefully there’s a next time. They accept all credit cards, I used American Express. Awesome experience and great food. Highly recommended.
