Piazza Raffaele de Ferrari

Another must visit place in Genoa. A gorgeous huge square with beautiful buildings surrounding the square. Some fabulous cafes and other interesting places are off this square and it’s a lovely area to walk around for an hour or more. Also the main shopping street is pretty close to this square. Loved the ambience here :-))

A splashing fountain is the centerpiece of Genoa’s main square, the Piazza de Ferrari. It’s ringed by magnificent buildings, including the Art Nouveau Palazzo della Borsa, which was once the country’s stock exchange; and the neoclassical Teatro Carlo Felice. During our short stay in Genoa, we walked through this Piazza several times from our nearby Hotel (Bristol Palace) to Old Town Genoa. There was even a small market going on the next morning.

OK, OK It’s a plaza, but I has to be one of the nicest in Genova, Italy. There’s a fantastic fountain, food everywhere, a post office, Banco’s galore. Excellent for a midday break and ATM stop.
