On our tour, we made a trip to this glass factory for a glass blowing demonstration. Venice is known for their glass. It’s a centuries-old occupation passed down by masters to apprentices. We were only able to take photos of the demonstration because their glassware is patented. The demonstration was really cool. If you’ve never seen anything like it, be prepared to be awed. The guy made two items(a vase, and a horse figurine) within a few minutes time. I purchased 2 rolling tumblers in different colors for my parents. It set me back a pretty penny but it was a really cool souvenir that I couldn’t really buy anywhere else. Each item comes with a certificate of the master glass artist and authenticity acknowledgment which is packaged in a box that protects the items from breakage during travel. Cool stop, but kind of pricey for big items. They have inexpensive glass jewelry here too.

We came here as part of our tour(obviously a shopping opportunity) and we saw a demonstration of their glass blowing art. It was amazing to watch how in a few minute this craftsman was able to create a glass and a horse out of molten glass. The glass is guaranteed to be Venetian glass, and it isn’t cheap, but they have plenty of items to choose from if you want. I bought myself some earrings for 20 Euro.
