Gran BAR

Located right on one of the main squares of Bologna, the Gran Bar gets to be a rather crowded, somewhat touristy, busy place. I stop by here for a quick bite to eat and to have a drink. My service was good tough rushed, but the food I selected from a daily specials menu was be than average, and the staff spoke perfect English. To a degree Gran Bar has is one of those places that in catering to American tourists, has itself become somewhat Americanized. Such was clearly evident by one of their board special cocktails of the day, being «Sex on the Beach,» which is an American concoction first introduced in Florida in 1987 at Confetti’s Bar as a part of peach schnapps distributors promotion for Spring Break.
Overall, however, and what I liked best about the places was that it was a fun place having a vibrant fun quality about it.
