Staying at the Villa Grazioli was truly an enjoyable experience. Since I was arriving into Ciampino I decided to give this one a a shot instead of the new Marriott Courtyard which was in the opposite direction. The hotel consists of a main building with 13 rooms and two adjacent buildings with more rooms. We stayed in the main building on the top floor which feature a beautiful view of Rome. The rooms are the only places that have been restored to a modern luxury hotel standard. The bathrooms feature ETRO amenities, a bidet and the water pressure is excellent. My only complaint is that the pillows were pretty hard(like futon hard) so I ended up going to IKEA(15 mins away) to get a goose down pillow — problem solved. The hotel owners have opted to keep the main building as intact as possible which accounts for a lot of the hotel’s charm. The lower common rooms feature Frescos that have not been restored and some may say that it looks dilapidated — however IMO opinion the beauty is to see them in their original form. Additionally, the owners chose to not utilize the first floor rather than maximize profits by restoring these beautiful rooms and turning them into guest rooms. The staff throughout the hotel is super polite and friendly. The first night we ate in the garden with a spectacular view of Rome and Frascatti. Again the service was tops the food was excellent and very enjoyable. Overall an excellent stay, we were originally thinking of moving to an adjacent hotel to try it out but ultimately chose to stay here because of the exceptional service. I will definitely come back here again, its less than 30 minutes to Rome by car and 15 to Ciampino.

We had a wonderful stay with day tours to Rome, combined with joyful dinners accompanied by our favorite waiter! This place is to recommend for family, and group stays! Food was OK! Rooms more than OK! Wine cheap and tasty!

This place is amazing. I usually stay in Rome, but the Villa Grazioli really makes an argument for the outskirts. The train ride to and from Rome offers great views of ancient aqueducts and only takes about 20 minutes. The historic villa has lovely gardens, a quaint pool, beautiful views, and is gorgeous in and of itself. The 2nd floor ceilings are painted in fresco and the marble inlaid floors are stunning. The chef is stellar, the wine exceptional, and the staff eager to help. Perfect.

An amazing, historic hotel set in the hills outside of Rome. We were upgraded to a suite on the top floor during our visit in early October 2011 with sweeping views of the countryside. A large portion of the villa is devoted to vast open public spaces including the gallery on the 1st floor(one up from ground floor) that are covered with amazing, colorful murals on the walls and ceilings. The location outside of the hubbub of Rome was nice as was waking up to the sound of roosters crowing in the distance.
