We stopped in here on a Saturday night for the infamous«apertivo.» This is a no frills place, with lots of tables crammed too close together. I felt like we were packed in like sardines — it was impossible to get to our table or for the servers to get through. The service was also very slow. It was fairly busy because of the apertivo hours, but there were at least 4 servers, and considering the size of the place, it shouldn’t have taken as long as it did for service. We had to flag someone down to order because nobody ever came to help us. Anyhow, this is definitely a great spot for apertivo. If you aren’t sure what that is — it’s like happy hour, except you get food along with your drink purchase. Prices were reasonable — I had the largest Hoegaarden I’ve ever seen and it was only 6 euros. They set up a pretty sizeable buffet, which you are free to enjoy as many times as you’d like. The food was pretty good and it was a decent selection. If you are in the area, it’s definitely worth checking out!

Wow, Il Tempio d’Oro is missing an English review. How comes? This is one of the«secret» places of the Milanese«Aperitivo»(happy hour), the pre-dinner drink which comes with a buffet dinner of its own :-) The offering of Il Tempio d’Oro during their happy hour is quite good and extensive, can happily substitute dinner, and the drinks and beers are all good and not terribly expensive. Outside buffet hours, the menu is still very good, but not that cheap. The place is very informal/“alternative” style, and can accomodate groups, maybe not extremely large ones. Pets are welcome :-)
