Albergo Novotel Milano Linate Aeroporto

The Novotel staff were courteous and punctual in picking us up at Linate. Checkin was quick, courteous, and efficient. The room was sleek and chic. The low bed was like a dense memory foam but slept very well. We ate at the hotel bar where the staff were cordial, helpful, willing to explain differences we didn’t understand. There was no porter to help with luggage but a service elevator was available and our room was 10 feet (3 meters) from the elevator.
At the lobby bar we had bruchetta which consisted of 6 toasted bread rounds about 2 inches (50mm) by 1 inch (25 mm) and covered with freshly diced tomatoes, garlic and basil. They were served with a very fruity olive oil and aged balsamic on the side.
We also had a mozzarella platter which consisted of a 2 inch (50 mm) ball of each of three types, buratta, buffalo, and «normal.» They each presented different textures and flavors and while we had eaten all of them before separately, we had never compared them directly. They were wonderful and the comparison was much clearer.
We were introduced to a drink called Spritz which is usually either Amperol or Campari mixed with chilled prosecco and soda water and bitters. We tried one of each and were smitten, as is much of Italy, apparently.
Next morning we had a cab in less than 5 minutes and were at the train station in under 10 minutes for 20 euros.
We had been anxious about our time in Milan since previous visits had seemed cold and distant but this group was welcoming and tolerant of our jet lagged confusion. Would definitely stay here again.

Great hotel… good location… poor signage to find entrance. Updated, clean and modern! Shower best of any hotel I have been in… hairdryer amazing! Down side… rooms smallish and very lumpy pillows. Staff very nice. If your in the area, nice hotel to stay in… recommend,

This Novotel is one if the nicer ones in the chain.
The big plus here is that it makes a good base for exploring Milan.
First, it is convenient to the Linate Airport… hence the free shuttle to/​from the airport. Just across the street is a tramway stop… which will take you straight to the Duomo plus connections everywhere.
The lobby is spacious and opens up to an attractive pool area fronting the restaurant.
Morning breakfast here is good.
Complimentary Apple desktops in the lobby (and printer). A nice touch.
Rooms are typical Novotel fare: sleek, modern, understated. Beds are the low type… almost futon like mattresses. Not a big fan of those, but they are not unique to this location.
