Eat’s Store

If you are looking for specialized, high quality food items, this is the place to see. Prices are a bit on the high side, but it is a great place for personal service at the meat counter, and the quality of the selected cuts of meat cannot be surpassed.
In addition to the meats, the vegetables are first quality, but again a bit on th pricey side.
I wish the size of the store was bigger since the concept is very good.

When this place opened more than a year ago (in the –1 level of Excelsior), I would have given it 3 or 4 stars because its concept was similar to Eataly and also becuase it sells my favorite pasta (Benedetto Cavalieri)… but now that Eataly Smeraldo opened, I prefer to go there. While Eat’s is nice to look around, they have excellent avocados and papaya in their fruit/​veggies section, the quality of their products is excellent and they also have sandwiches, salads and other ready-​to-​serve dishes for lunch break; the cons for me are the high prices (yes, we are 2 blocks from the Duomo but come on!) and the staff, a smile doesn’t hurt, and I why am I not allowed to take pictures?!? (haha, I managed to take one!).
They have the wine shop and bistro on the upper level, again, high prices, long faces, is there an Eat’s no-​smile policy?
I come here only when I have a food-​related «emergency»: last minute gift for the foodie friend, posh guests, avocado craving or when in desperate need of some Cavalieri pasta, otherwise Eataly is my place to go.

Incredible products, nice packaging, high quality, small producers but also national brands. I love this store.
If they lower a little bit the prices, I would do my daily spesa there: p
