This was our first restaurant in Milan, fortunately it only went uphill after that. The food was a disaster and we decided, as a group, to give 2 stars because the waiter was friendly and the bread very yummy! Everything else was a disaster. We got the business lunch, relatively cheap(12 euros), but well too expensive for the quality of the food. The pastas were either undercooked or cold, and the sauce not really good anyway. The secondi, sausages with green beans, was obviously straight out of a can. So my advise, skip this restaurant or order directly a-la-carte, maybe you will be luckier…

Un resto de quartier plutôt sympathique. L’un des serveurs parle français et semble content d’utiliser la langue de Molière. Niveau assiette: rien à redire ! L’Italie respecte sa réputation ! Miam.

This is one of the best restaurantes I’ve eaten at in All of Italy. The food is great … Very simple, and very rustic in all the original flavours they are meant to be savoured … You won’t regret it … Reasonably at € 10 … I can’t recommend it highly enough … Come bring your friends, everything is good.

The place is small and quite full. Nevertheless, its pasta is well cooked. Amazing Food!!!

Really enjoyed dinner here on out last night in Milan. My date and I went all out and got both a pasta course and a meat course. She got the spaghetti bolognese and the veal saltimbocca which were both good. I got the tonnarelli salsiccia and the tagliata alla cipolla dolce di Tropea. Pastas were fresh, meats were tasty(especially mine that was cooked perfectly). Our waiter was the best we had while in milan and he informed us the family who owns this restaurant recently opened a similar joint in NYC(Abbottega) which I am excited to go and try out.

We were feeling the exhaustion of jetlag and so comfort food was in order. Pasta immediately came to mind because it simply is my ultimate comfort food so we found ourselves here on our last night in Milan. I had the Cacio e Pepe and while it did have that toothsome, firm bite to the pasta the flavors was quite basic to me. Perhaps I expected better because I was in Italy. I think perhaps it was drier than I would have liked as it had a smidge too much grated cheese on top(as you would when dusting grated Parmesan cheese on top of your spaghetti) where i prefer this dish to be more of the slightly buttery, melted Pecorino Romano distributed evenly throughout the pasta with a whole lot of pepper. My husband’s beef cheeks bucatini won in all aspects though between his dish and my cacio. It had that slightly tangy in flavor sauce, thick Bucatini noodles, a good portion of meat; he hailed it as the best bucatini dish he’s ever had. I mean we are in Italy, I wanted the pasta dishes here to be superior to the versions in the States as cliché as that is. Service was good. Our server spoke a little English which was great since we don’t speak a lick of a Italian besides the basic greetings and salutations. I loved that this restaurant didn’t seem touristy as we seemed to be the only non-locals there(at least the night we were there). This made for a lot of curious looks in our direction. But we were in our own world stuffing our face with our plate full of pasta, warm bread and a bottle of wine. I’d recommend.

One of my favourites… The food is great and the prices are good. The mixed antipasti are fab(4 people minimum but if you’re three they sometimes make an exception)… Nice informal atmosphere. Make sure to reserve in advance as it’s always packed!

Although we got there 10 minutes before the kitchen close, we were welcomed warmly but the only pasta shape we could order was short pasta(rigatoni) according to the server. Maybe it was because of kitchen closing soon. Had a pasta with bacon, onion, butter and cheese, and sauteed sliced port belly(porchetta) with potatoes. The glass of red wine I had was really really good. I have to visit this place again to try some more dishes.

Good restaurant in Milano! They have a main area, where the kitchen and the counter are, then across a courtyard there’s a door to a separate room with a large wooden table. We stayed at this big table, and if it wasn’t for the waiter coming to check and bring dishes, it was like having dinner at home. Service was good, food quality and quantity satisfying, and prices in the average for a city like Milano. A place I would recommend and visit again.

I haven’t checked them in a year, they might be good again… they used to be great several years back, ownership changed, the quality went down. especially the meat.
