Somerville, MA
Roasts their own coffee. Not in house as far as I can tell, but that still means an excellent little espresso. One of the best I had this trip. Also offers a case full of three-​bite pastries, presumably to be sold by the kg, but they’ll happily give you one to keep your coffee from getting lonely. Simple, small, and tasty.
Also has a larger pizza restaurant next door. Did not try and cannot comment.
