The risotto is ok. I mean, they do it right, but definitely not the best there is. Our seafood risotto have 1 shrimp in it and that’s it. The second dish is the sea bass. The sauce that goes with it is fantastic, but the fish itself have no taste to it. If you are not in the neighborhood, it’s definitely not worth a trip coming over.

I got to Milan starving and I wanted to eat somewhere close and local since I was staying at one of the neighbourhood slightly outside of city centre and I found this one. The place is small… No frills but just outside the restaurant there were tons of stickers showing their accolades for the food they serve so that was a good sign. Another good sign is the long waiting list of folks trying get a table for dinner after 9.45 pm on a Sunday night. The menu isn’t long and they had a tasting menu so I opted for that. You can choose either meat or seafood with the tasting menu and you get three courses plus dessert for just € 28! The first course I chose was this hake dish marinated in vinegar with carrots and onions. It was ok not amazing… If you’re squirmish and don’t want to eat small fish with their head on this is not the dish for you lol. The next dish is a cuttlefish and artichoke risotto. This place is known for its risotto and boy it was amazing. Never knew risotto was suppose to be cooked where each grain has a bite and not mushy. the delicate flavour of the cuttlefish and artichoke worked so well and the dish was perfectly seasoned. The dish was creamy and I found myself scraping for the last pieces of risotto on the dish! I want more! Lol. The third dish I got was grilled octopus. The dish seemed like it straight up came from the sea with the long tentacle of the octopus. The octopus was tender and have the taste of the sea… Went really well with the sun dried tomatoes. I was amazed of the beautiful colour and the texture… So tender. If you like seafood this will quench your thirst for it. It also went well with the prosecco I ordered. If you’re not into seafood, stir clear from this because it is straight up a seafood type of dish… and it’ll taste like meat marinated in sea water. For dessert since it was my first night back in Italy I hard to give homage to the tiramisu. The tiramisu was light and fluffy… Not too sweet… Not too much coffee flavour, perfectly balanced. As much as I enjoyed it, being the fourth dish … I was stuffed! It’s a good reminder for me when I make tiramisu that it shouldn’t be too sweet and delicate and flavoured lightly by coffee. The staff were really nice and attended me well, they are pretty on point and have a great system working. I’d recommend making reservations if you can cause this place get busy! Overall the experience was good and the wait was worth it for this restaurant. Good value for the money and gave me a good experience on how it is like eating like a local in Milan.

I came here a year ago, and this place had the best risotto I have had in my life. They make three different ones each day based on the freshest ingredients they have on hand. We had a pistachio risotto and a seafood one. You really can’t go wrong! Just be aware that the restaurant is a bit off the grid in terms of location. I can’t wait to go back!

Excellent italian food. We recomend the Tasting Menu. Good service, but maybe they must learn to wait, that You have finnised before they serve the next meal.

Was here a few years ago and it has stuck in my mind ever since. It has the quaintness that a lot of NYC restaurants strive for and the risotto is unbeatable. Definitely will be a destination on my next trip.

This place is a little out of the way, but it has excellent risotto, well worth it. As a tourist, this definitely felt more like a local place, which was nice. Amanda really liked the rabbit she had here as well.

Urig milanesisches Ambiente!
